Express Employment is seeking candidates for a Scale Operator position in Dubuque, Iowa.

Position Summary:
We’re assisting a locally operated facility in hiring a full-time, seasonal Scale Operator. This role involves managing inbound/outbound truck data, grading grain, and assisting with operational tasks during peak season.

Pay: $18–$20/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time, seasonal with overtime as needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Communicate with truck drivers and collect info upon arrival
• Enter inbound data into computer system
• Weigh trucks and sample grain using manual and computerized tools
• Determine grain grade, moisture, foreign material, and damage
• Record and dispose of samples appropriately
• Weigh outbound trucks accurately using system tools
• Serve as back-up for elevator operations/labor when needed
• Maintain dependable attendance and complete assigned tasks

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Previous grain elevator or ag experience helpful
• Ability to use standard office equipment and basic computer systems
• Must pass drug screen and background check
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift/carry up to 5 lbs.
• Stay seated or standing up to 90% of shift
• Occasionally bend, squat, or kneel
• Willing to work overtime as needed
