POSITION DESCRIPTION
SECURITY SUPERVISOR
BASIC FUNCTION
- To supervise Security and Valet personnel during shifts, in order to assure the safety and security of patrons, employees and the facility
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports to: Security Manager
- Supervises: Security Officers, Frist Responder, Valet Parking Attendants, Maintenance Employees
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Check-in and assign Security staff members to appropriate locations

Facilitate Buzz Session at start of shift to distribute pertinent information to employees

Enforce internal controls, Security SOPâs, and IRGC regulations

Maintain, organize and regulate proper control of shift keys
-
Oversee collection of casino funds while enforcing casino and state regulations
-
Complete daily attendance reports for state representatives, and any other required reports
-
Report any incident, which may occur during a shift, to proper officials
-
Assist in the arrest or eviction of a patron when necessary
-
Assist in the training of new Security and Valet staff members
-
Conduct employee disciplinary actions when necessary
-
Occasionally assist in medical calls
-
Monitor parking lots and report any violations
-
Use established guidelines to decontaminate affected areas of blood-borne pathogens, in conjunction with Maintenance Supervisor, in absence of First Responder
-
Oversee day to day maintenance issues, requests, ordering supplies and staffing in the absence of the Director of Facilities, Security Manager or Maintenance Manager
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
-
High school diploma
-
1-year prior security experience and 1-2 years prior supervisory experience required
-
OSHA trained in blood-borne pathogen clean-up
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

Ability to maintain control and keep calm during stressful situations

Good decision-making skills

Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel to complete necessary reports
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Medium work, with ability to move up to 50 lbs.

Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing walking, pushing, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing and repetitive motion are physical requirements for this position
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS

Activities occur inside and outside, subject to weather conditions

Atmospheric conditions (fumes, odors, dust, etc.)

Loud noise levels
