Seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Buyer to join a locally owned Dubuque dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring that the hiring company maintains a competitive edge in the automotive market by sourcing and purchasing the best products at the best prices. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of products, developing strong relationships with suppliers, and working closely with internal departments to ensure that inventory meets the needs of our customers. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for market trends, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of the Automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals and market trends.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing products.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the best possible pricing, quality, and delivery terms.
Analyze market trends and sales data to make informed purchasing decisions.
Collaborate with the sales and merchandising teams to forecast product demand and plan inventory levels accordingly.
Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize overstock and stockouts.
Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and take corrective actions as needed.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities for growth.
Lead and mentor junior buyers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in a purchasing or buying role (Automotive industry preferred).
Strong negotiation and analytical skills with a proven track record of successful supplier management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchasing software.
Strong understanding of market trends and consumer behavior.
Leadership experience is a plus.
