Senior Marketing Manager, Achievement Solutions Group
McGraw Hill is seeking a marketing leader for our Achievement Solutions Group portfolio in the K-12, School business unit. This role reports to the Director of Portfolio Marketing, Intervention and Acceleration.
The Senior Marketing Manger for Achievement Solutions Group works closely with Product Management Sales, peer Marketing leaders, and cross-functional teams to lead the development of effective cohesive portfolio-wide product and integrated marketing strategies that maximize revenue, maintain targeted margins, ensure consistent product use, foster user communities, and maintain high levels of satisfaction for each owned product across all phases of the life cycle. Additionally, this individual will partner with sales to engage with customers as well as learn from industry experts to build a base of knowledge beyond what can be learned from internal data sources.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the Director to execute on end-to-end (product to customer) go-to-market strategy for the Intervention and ELA alternative core portfolios of products.
- Collaborate with Project Management on future Intervention product roadmap decisions and plans.
- Review and translate market research to understand needs and to integrate them into our marketing strategies.
- Develop value proposition and message that speaks to customer needs and the product positioning.
- Maintain an understanding of the competitive landscape and provide competitive differentiation through sales support and the development of marketing strategies.
- Represents and communicates the voice of the customer in key business decisions, working cross-functionally with counterparts in Product Management, PMO, Product and Academic Design, Finance, and Sales.
- Provide hands-on support for key opportunities, intervention product content, ELA alternative core content, and campaigns/strategy for aligning with Core in state adoption and open territory.
- Support the Sales and Consulting teams to impact retention and expansion opportunities to newer versions of existing Intervention programs to the existing user base.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Communications or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Marketing Communication, Product Marketing, or related marking or sales functions—K-12 education publishing industry preferred.
- Knowledge of K-12 intervention and ELA alternative core market preferred.
- Experience with designing and executing effective go-to-market strategies.
- Passion for making analytics-based decisions.
- Customer-first orientation.

- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- A desire to learn and ask questions.

The pay range for this position is between $105,000 – $125,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
