In this role, successful applicants will support financial operations at Crescent Community Health Center. The staff accountant works in collaboration with various departments within the health center to ensure financial accuracy with a primary focus on the following:

  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and subsidiary ledgers monthly.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Track and monitor revenues and expenditures for federal, state, and private grants.
  • Maintain documentation for grant reimbursements and assist with drawdown submissions.
  • Assist with annual audit and Single Audit (Uniform Guidance) preparation.
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budget.
  • Maintain and update accounting policies and procedures in line with FQHC standards.

What are the minimum requirements you need to apply? To be considered, you must have at least a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. You must have at least two years or more of progressive accounting experience. Previous accounting experience in a healthcare or non-profit setting is preferred.
