Your Responsibilities
As a Structures & Sheetmetal Design Engineer - Crawlers for John Deere Construction & Forestry located in Dubuque, Iowa, you will design and implement structural and sheet metal components for Crawler Dozers to deliver customer solutions throughout all phases of the Product Development Process (PDP). In addition, you will...
- Develop and evaluate design solutions for new Product Development Programs that meet machine performance, structural component goals, cost targets, and schedules
- Collaborate with other functional areas, including supply management, manufacturing, marketing, product support and quality to meet programs needs and work with suppliers where appropriate.

- Demonstrated ability applying engineering principles (through practical work experience, internships or educational coursework/projects)
- Demonstrated strong problem solving skills with ability to be self-directed and motivated
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
What Makes You Stand Out (Desired skills/experiences)
- Product design, product analysis or product testing experience (through practical work experience, internships or educational coursework/projects)
- Experience with metal fabrication and materials
- CREO (ProE) skills or experience with other 3D modeling software, including educational experience
- Background /interest in construction or agricultural equipment operations.
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural, Aerospace, or other Engineering discipline
