Hills & Dales is a non-profit organization dedicated to building meaningful lives for individuals with disabilities. We are seeking passionate Direct Support Professionals to support children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities. We support children and adults with complex medical and behavioral needs.

Starting Wage: $17.75/hour

Plus Attractive Shift Differentials:

- Weekend Differential: $3/hour (Saturday/Sunday)

- 2nd Shift Differential: $2/hour (2:00PM-10:00PM)

- 3rd Shift Differential: $0.50/hour (10:00PM-6:00AM)

Schedule Options:

- Full-Time: Monday-Friday 8:30AM-4:30PM

- Part-Time:

  • Schedule Option 1: Wed, Thur, Sun 2:00PM-9:00PM every week
  • Schedule Option 2: Mon, Wed, Sun 3:00PM-9:00PM every week
  • Schedule Option 3: Wed, Fri, Sat 6:00AM-2:00PM every week
  • Schedule Option 4: Wed, Friday, Sat 4:00PM-10:00PM every week
  • Schedule Option 5: Week 1: Wed, Thur, Sat, Sun Week 2: Tue, Wed, Fri 3:00PM-9:00PM
  • Schedule Option 6: Week 1: Tue, Wed, Fri Week 2: Wed, Thur, Sat, Sun 7:00AM-1:00PM

 

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care, including bathing, toileting, and hygiene support (lifting required with support of lifts).

- Support exercise and mobility.

- Document client progress toward personal goals.

- Communicate and coordinate with teams to support clients effectively.

- Monitor health and wellness.

- Accompany clients to outings and events.

- Support work-skills development.

- Monitor environments for potential hazards and support clients in navigating these.

- Assist clients in expressing their emotions appropriately and support challenging behavior when necessary.

- Follow detailed dietary instructions.

Requirements:

- Demonstrated concern for others and alignment with the mission of Hills & Dales.

- Ability to assertively communicate and advocate for clients.

- Reliable attendance and punctuality.

- Ability to lift 35 lbs.

- High School diploma or equivalent.

- Successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screen, and driving record check.

- Other additional requirements relating to driving are subject to specific departments.
