POSITION DESCRIPTION
SURVEILLANCE OBSERVER
BASIC FUNCTION
To maintain a diligent watch over all Q Casino assets (Casino monies and property), maintain the integrity of casino activity by observing and reporting any activity that is in violation of the IRGC rules and regulations or Q Casino System of Internal Controls.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
a)Â Â Reports to:Â Â Â Â Â Surveillance Supervisor
b)Â Â Supervises:Â Â Â Â Â N/A
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform observations of all Q Casino assets, personnel, and patronage.
- Compose and compile observation logs and entrance/exit logs.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of IRGC rules and regulations and Q Casino System of Internal Controls to insure employee and patron compliance.
- Maintain constant knowledge of the functioning status of surveillance equipment.
- Review video for evidence of rule infractions, money discrepancies, and/or criminal activities.
- Maintain surveillanceâs visual integrity of casino floor and sensitive areas by regular cleaning of Domes.
- Occasional soft surveillance, when needed.
- Monitor Table Games and report infractions and errors.
- Prior computer experience required to create folders and files in a windows-based format.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma required.
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
- Proficient hand-eye coordination. Must be able to switch cameras while maintaining visual contact.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to operate multi pieces of equipment.
- Ability to memorize large amounts of information.
- Ability to understand the technical aspects of the job.
- Ability to understand Table Game payouts and procedures.
MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Sedentary work. Able to move up to 10 lbs.
- Climbing, reaching, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motion are physical requirements for this position.
- Ability to climb a ladder or operate a scissors lift to service and repair surveillance equipment.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
- Inside work with dim lighting.
- Cool room temperatures.
- May require occasional outdoor camera system service work.

- Keyboard and joystick.
- DVR Network.
- Two-way radio.
- Computer.
- Copier.
