Switchboard Operator - PRN (As Needed)
Department provides 24-hour/7 day a week operation/monitoring of communications center equipment and systems to hospital, client/tenants, affiliated on-campus and off-campus sites. Provides informational services to general public, all campus and off-campus sites. Responsible for greeting patients and visitors, providing directions to various areas in the hospital while promoting a positive public image for MercyOne Medical Center.
Provides mailing services and meeting room coordination to hospital, medical clinic, and affiliates. Provides system support for all beeper paging and audiovisual media. Provides Copy Center/Print Shop services to hospital, off-campus, client/tenants. Works under general supervision of Business Support Services Director.
1. Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in direct customer relations/communications center preferred.
3. Experience with in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GroupWise) and Internet.
Starting Wage $15.00 base pay; shift differentials; Evenings: $2.25; nights: $4.00 and weekend shift diff of $1.00 extra.
