Description
Overall Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, train, and support the advertising billing, advertising production, and subscription management systems and its interfaces for Woodward Community Media. Provide project leadership and coordination services among user departments as required.
- Analyze, implement, and support reporting solutions for the advertising billing, advertising production, and subscription management systems for Woodward Community Media and provide project leadership and coordination services among user departments as required.
- Analyze, implement, and support office-based software interface solutions for systems that interact with the advertising billing and production systems.
- Provide training and support for acquired and existing systems, programs and procedures as assigned or needed for Woodward Community Media.
- Research, develop, and promote the use of business software and integration tools with a focus on identifying new uses and techniques of existing software.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain, train, and support software solutions for the advertising billing, advertising, production, and subscription management systems for the Woodward Community Media. Responsibilities to include:
- Primary support for defining new and maintaining existing products, their components, relationships, and security in the Woodward Community Media Vision Data, Xpance, and Newzware databases.
- Primary support for Woodward Community Media instance of the Vision Data, Xpance, and Newzware systems/databases, including all utilities and interfaces.
- Initiate support calls as the need arises to solve questions/problems/bugs found with the above listed systems.
- Provide initial and follow-up training to enhance user capabilities and to establish greater efficiencies in the Advertising, Audience Development, Customer Service, and Distribution departments.
- Provide Department Managers and Business Office with reports needed to maintain day-to-day operations and goal setting as well as provide analysis to improve efficiencies.
- Test upgrades before implementing a live/production site.
- Assist in implementation of a live/production site as needed.
- Provide or facilitate reports needed to maintain day to day operations and goal setting as well as provide analysis to improve efficiencies for the Advertising Managers, Audience Development Manager, Customer Service Manager, and Distribution Manager.
- Train new Woodward Community Media advertising sales staff on advertising workflow and processes.
- Provide technical training and support when appropriate.
- Design, develop, and implement tools to support Woodward Community Media.
- Oversee the rate structure process in the advertising billing system and subscription management system and provide checks and balances to ensure full realization of revenue.
- Manage, coordinate, track, and prioritize all project activities as assigned.
- Continually grow technical expertise of the computer and publishing industries and existing WCI technology and capabilities.
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new software projects and initiatives to support and enhance WCI.
- Suggest, initiate, and implement new methods and procedures to maximize WCI's computing resources.
- Serve as liaison and facilitator between business units to assist in addressing and resolving technical issues.
- Write, produce, and maintain current technical procedures and documentation for applications.
- Maintain a general working knowledge of all WCI business applications, practices and procedures.
- Participate in meetings and committees as necessary.
- Adhere to all departmental standards and procedures.
- Actively participate in the Great Game of Business.
- All other duties as assigned.

Knowledge:
Two-year degree in Computer Science or four-year degree with an emphasis in Computer Science. Minimum two years Business System Programming/Support experience. Structured analysis and programming techniques. High proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications/tools, and other supported programming languages (SQL) and/or software in use at WCI. Knowledge of PC, Windows, Android, iOS and/or other major operating systems. Knowledge of the Internet and web page development. Exposure to the publishing and/or financial industry.
