PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Talent & Communications Specialist plays a key role in attracting, developing and retaining top talent and ensuring effective internal and external communication. This position is responsible for managing the full-cycle recruitment process, performance management and employee development programs. Additionally, this role supports HR communications, crafting clear and engaging messaging related to company initiatives, policies, and employee engagement efforts.
Success in this role requires strong relationship-building skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. The Talent Management & Communication Specialist collaborates closely with HR Leadership, functional leaders and other stakeholders to align talent strategies with business objectives while maintaining a strong employer brand and assisting in the day to day human resource operations.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing candidates, conducting initial interviews, and coordinating hiring activities and building community partnerships.
- Facilitate a smooth onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring they have the resources and support needed for a successful start. Partner with hiring managers to ensure full integration into the business beyond the initial onboarding period.
- Execute and distribute HR communications related to company policies, initiatives, and culture, ensuring consistency and clarity while aligning with strategies set by HR leadership. Communication experience with digital, video and print content is required.
- Enhance employer branding by supporting talent attraction efforts through job boards, social media, and career site updates and new partnerships.
- Manage the annual performance management and potential assessment process ensuring hiring managers have the skill set and tool kit needed to effectively manage direct reports.
- Support organizational and individual development planning by partnering with HR Leadership and functional leaders to ensure training needs are identified with follow-up action plans. Partner with external training and development partners.
- Assist in planning and communicating employee engagement programs, recognition efforts, and internal events.
- Ensure recruitment and communication processes align with company policies and legal compliance requirements.
- Track key recruitment and engagement metrics to assess effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Travel Required.
