This position is open to remote/work from home with strong preference for candidates residing within the UPH geographies of Iowa, Illinois, & Wisconsin.
The Talent Sourcer manages the first stage of the recruiting process. The Talent Sourcer uses various channels to look for potential candidates, contacts passive candidates and builds talent pipelines for future hiring needs. Solid networking skills, knowledge of how to source on social media and enjoyment in learning about different roles, will make a candidate successful. Ultimately, the Talent Sourcer will proactively identify our hiring needs and help us fill our vacancies with qualified employees. During high requisition volume peaks, the Talent Sourcer may also manage their own requisition load.

Responsibilities
Talent Sourcing
- Recruit and refer qualified candidates for position vacancies at UnityPoint Health by reviewing applications/resumes.
- Interact with potential candidates on social media and professional networks (e.g. LinkedIn, Slack and Github)
- Craft & send recruiting emails that attract talent to join UnityPoint Health
- Identify qualified candidate profiles using various sourcing techniques (e.g. Boolean search)
- Responsible for creating, monitoring and seeking information for a system to track referrals from current employees and external networks
- Communicate with past applicants regarding new job opportunities
- Use the organization-wide job posting system to encourage internal promotion of employees, as well as provide equal opportunity for all internal and external applicants to apply for openings within the UnityPoint Health system.
- Build relationships and partnerships with talent acquisition team members system-wide to share in strategy, best practice and further solidify a one team
- Measure conversion rates, including numbers of passive candidates who turn into applicants, are interviewed, receives offers and begins position.
- Manage & optimize the Candidate Management tools within the Applicant Tracking System
Builds Talent Pipeline
- Develop a method and maintain pipeline of candidates for future hiring needs through establishing relationships with candidates & continuing to engage until they are hired
- Represent UnityPoint Health at Community & School career fairs.
- Increase public awareness of UnityPoint Health by maintaining high profile with community business, education institutions, representation on city and other professional associations and social activities on an ongoing basis.
- Participate in community outreach as a representative of UnityPoint Health in the way of mock interviewing, resumes writing seminars, junior and high school presentations,
- Responsible for contributing to diversity initiatives at UnityPoint
- Partner with area schools to ensure that students consider UnityPoint Health as an employer post-graduation
- Partner with departments to administer various work study or internships (As applicable, based on affiliate.)
- Counsel internal and external candidates on career opportunities, as well as training and development and avenues for growth.
Markets Open Positions
- Promote our employer brand online and offline
- Work in tandem with Marketing team(s) and hiring leaders to ensure advertising focus is appropriate based upon areas of greatest need.
- Partner with affiliate Recruiters to ensure that positions are equitably marketed
- Partner with Marketing to create marketing campaigns to attract specific talent groups. Helps with identification of individual areas, creative content development, deployment of campaign, and candidate engagement.
- Develop job posting best practice information to attract maximum talent to positions
- Research creative recruitment strategies (e.g. social media, creative marketing, diversity outlets, ) to understand the best places to find the most qualified candidates, in the location they are looking for opportunities. Uses discretion and judgment to determine and put in place best practices for assigned regional recruitment.
- When directed, assist and manage assigned requisition load.
Project Management
- Provide new project ideas on an annual basis and works to lead projects, as
- Responsible for on-going process improvements in recruitment
- Partner with regional hiring leaders and/or HR Business Partners to anticipate talent needs & provide feedback from candidates that ensures UnityPoint Health remains competitive in the market.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Talent Acquisition with an emphasis on sourcing techniques
- Minimum of 3 years experience with HR Databases, Applicant Tracking Systems & Candidate Management Systems
- Prior project management experience
- Minimum of 2 years or equivalent experience in candidate sourcing & procurement preferred
- Prior healthcare recruitment or staffing company experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
- Advanced computer knowledge using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and web browser.
- Multicultural sensitivity
- Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
- Effective time management skills
- Advanced reading, writing and oral skills
- Ability to utilize PC including, basic elements of Windows environment, keyboarding, work with mouse, and perform basic computer tasks with instruction.
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
- Work may occasionally require travel to other UPH facilities/hospitals.
- Required to drive your own vehicle for business purposes.
