Job Overview
- Complete various general ledger activities including bank and account reconciliations, adjusting entries, and sales tax reporting
- Payroll preparation and payroll tax reporting
- Prepare federal and state business and individual income tax returns
- Prepare interim financial statements
- Maintain client depreciation schedules
- Assist clients with accounting questions
- Maintain client relationships
- Prepare tax plans and year-end financial statements
- Conduct face-to-face tax interviews with clients
- Remain up to date on current tax practices and changes in tax law
- Generate business growth with existing and new clients
- Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration
- Work with clients and firm members to ensure timely completion of projects
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- The position is full-time with additional hours required during tax season
- Working knowledge of tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Intuit QuickBooks
- Excellent communication skills
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to learn new software programs
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively on a team
