Your Responsibilities
As a Team Lead working for John Deere in Dubuque, IA you will manage a diverse team of production employees to meet product line targets on safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency. In addition, you will...
- Collaborate with other shift supervisors, other department team leads, engineering, maintenance and support staff
- Maintain an engaging and inclusive employee environment regarding communications, feedback and overall culture
- Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job
- Monitor Control Plans, troubleshoot workmanship problems and supervise production activities to ensure manufactured products meet or exceed established quality requirements
- Determine manufacturing priorities based on the production schedule and monitor employee work requirements to meet delivery dates
- Monitor department operating budget targets, direct departmental continuous improvement plans, and implement and monitor safety programs and 5S

What Skills You Need
- Effective leader and communicator who thrives on collaboratively solving problems in a fast paced, operations environment
- 2 or more years of experience in Production Supervision, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations.
- Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience preferably within a union environment
- Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends based on business needs
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience with Production Control systems such as MRP and SAP
- Experience with shop floor manufacturing incentive pay systems and work measurement
- Experience within a Union Environment
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline
