Your Responsibilities
As a Maintenance Team Leader for first shift at John Deere Dubuque Works located in Dubuque Iowa, you will….
- Assign and monitor the work of skilled-trades personnel to prioritize down equipment, preventative maintenance, and project work
- Plan for maintenance of equipment that improves reliability, efficiency, quality, and safety
- Diagnose machine malfunctions to root cause, recommend solutions, and support the execution of the repair/improvement plan
- Provide review, preventive maintenance plans, and documentation

What Skills You Need
- 3 or more years of supervision
- Ability and willingness to support a multi-shift or extended-shift operation
- 3 or more years of equipment troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability and willingness to work overtime, including weekends
- Effective communication, both verbal and written
What Makes You Stand Out
- Experience in a maintenance leadership role in a union environment
- Technical experience with design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems
- Automation and controls troubleshooting experience with Allen-Bradley components and Rockwell Automation PLC software
- Experience working within SAP PM module
- Experience with machinery and equipment safety standards (e.g., OSHA 29 CFR 1910, NFPA 79, NFPA 70E, etc.)
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical, electrical, or equivalent related work experience
