How can you make an Impact?
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to lead the development of our new Professional Learning Platform. The TPM contributes to the strategy and vision of our professional learning solutions and leads cross-functional development teams to deliver new innovative solutions. The TPM must have deep customer empathy and that rare ability to champion the voice of the customer and advocate for the interests of the business at the same time.
You will have a passionate interest and exceptional abilities in the envisioning, discovery, design, and development of engaging experiences for Teachers and Administrators. You will combine your knowledge of educational technology, software development, and classroom teaching to define product solutions that are effective, engaging, efficient, and easy to use.
You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of product iterations to market. As well, will tirelessly act as the conscience of the product, prioritizing the needs of customers against available resources to deliver viable solutions that will succeed in the market and improve outcomes for students, instructors, and institutions. You will possess excellent problem-solving skills and exceptional team collaboration, facilitation, and communication skills.
What will you do?
- Partner with cross segment product managers and other key stakeholders to develop a vision and strategy for the professional learning platform
- Translate product strategy into a product roadmap that is aligned with business milestones (breaks it down into executable components)
- Resolve ambiguous product requirements to achieve a clear vision that can then be shared with product and/or platform team(s)
- Over communicate expectations to all stakeholders
- Draft project charters, requirements, epics and stories, with prioritized features and specifications, while incorporating inputs from stakeholders
- Ensures release goals and commitments are understood by all affected teams
- Prioritize overall product needs and makes trade off decisions to best support business objectives
- Constantly champion the voice of the customer/business objectives and provides leadership to a large project team to maintain a consistent product vision
- Drive the complete experience – user experience, software and content - and ensure the customer experience is represented as a top priority throughout all stages of development
- Partner with program management, engineering, and the professional learning content team to ensure a viable scope is defined and delivered on-time and with high quality
What can you bring to the role?
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience
- 3+ years’ experience in leading Agile-based, software product development teams
- Experience creating prototype mock-ups/collaborating with UX to design prototypes and plan user research
- Demonstrated ability to lead user-centered design processes, with a strong focus on user experience
- Demonstrated experience creating a product from 0 to 1
- Proven success at influencing and collaborating across teams and work cultures; must be able to get along with, and collaborate effectively with, diverse personalities and skill sets and enjoy constructive conflict
- Demonstrated ability to enter a new situation and effect change
- Deadline‐conscious, results‐driven, and high‐performing in a high‐intensity environment
- Acute attention to detail, ability to analyze complex systems, and expertise at managing multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent verbal, written, demo, interpersonal, and organizational communication skills; must be able to communicate with technical teams and Business stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, think-on-your-feet business environment

The pay range for this position is between $100,000 - $115,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. An annual bonus plan may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical and/or other benefits, depending on the position offered.
