Job Description:
As we grow our footprint and expand our product portfolio to better serve our customers, we’re looking for a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to support this growth initiative. The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, lead generation, and sales growth across multiple channels, including digital marketing, content creation, public relations, trade shows, and sales enablement. This role oversees brand management and ensures consistent messaging while leading initiatives in SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, and website optimization. The manager conducts market research to guide brand positioning, collaborates closely with sales and product teams, and manages the marketing budget. Additionally, the role involves coordinating with national brands like TopShield and TriBuilt, James Hardie, and LP, measuring campaign performance, and staying ahead of industry trends to maintain a competitive edge in the metal building products market.

What does Klauer ask of you? - Essential Duties of the Marketing Manager:

  • Strategic Leadership: Create and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive revenue growth. Encompassing digital marketing, content marketing, public relations, trade shows, advertising, and sales enablement to achieve company goals for brand awareness, lead generation, and sales growth.
  • Brand Management: Oversee the development and maintenance of the company's brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging and visual representation across all marketing channels.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment (ROI) for marketing activities.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, customer needs, competitive landscape, and opportunities for new product positioning and market penetration.
  • Digital Marketing: Direct and manage all digital marketing activities, including SEO/SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, website content, and online advertising campaigns.
  • Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective marketing materials, tools, and training programs that support their efforts and drive sales conversions.
  • Public Relations and Communications: Manage media relations, develop press releases, and identify opportunities for increasing brand visibility through industry publications and events.
  • Trade Show and Event Management: Plan and execute the company's participation in relevant trade shows, conferences, and industry events to generate leads and build brand awareness.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and manage marketing team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Performance Measurement and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track marketing campaign performance, analyze data, and provide regular reports on results and recommendations for optimization.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, product development/technical expert, and other departments to ensure alignment of marketing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Industry Trends: Continuously monitor and analyze trends in the metal building products industry and marketing best practices to ensure the company remains competitive and innovative.
  • External Collaboration: Collaborate with third-party vendors as needed to initiate marketing campaigns.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field.
  • 5 years of marketing management experience, preferably within the building materials industry.

Physical Demands:

Extended periods of sitting at a desk while working on a computer or attending meetings. Regular use of hands and fingers to type on a keyboard, operate a mouse, perform other computer-related tasks, and manipulate small objects. Ability to view computer screens for extended periods and differentiate colors, fonts, and details on the screen. Occasional lifting weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to reach items stored in cabinets or on shelves above or below desk level. Ability to hear and speak clearly for communication purposes, both in person and over the phone. Ability to move within the office space, including walking to different areas, standing for short periods, and navigating around furniture and equipment. Endurance to maintain focus and productivity during regular working hours. Maintaining proper posture to prevent strain or injury, including adjusting chair and monitor heights for ergonomic comfort.
