Job Overview
- Measure, mark, and cut tiles to fit the required spaces
- Remove existing tiles, if necessary, and prepare surfaces for tiling
- Apply adhesives, mortar, or grout to secure tiles in place
- Ensure tiles are aligned and leveled, using tools such as levels and straightedges
- Create decorative patterns and designs using different tile sizes, shapes, and colors
- Seal and polish tiles to maintain their appearance and durability
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment after each job
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a tile setter
- Strong knowledge of different types of tiles, adhesives, and grouts
- Excellent mathematical skills for measuring and calculating tile quantities
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design plans
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in different positions
- Attention to detail and a strong eye for aesthetics
