We’re looking for a Vice President, Inside Sales to drive the McGraw Hill mission by leading a high performing inside sales organization. Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the Vice President, Inside Sales will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives that enhance customer acquisition, improve revenue growth, and expand our footprint across inside sales education markets. 

How can you make an impact? 
The Vice President, Inside Sales is responsible for the revenue generation of all McGraw Hill products within inside sales accounts. In this role, you will directly manage the Inside Sales Managers and be responsible for developing business strategies within the organization, creating and managing engagement and performance metrics as well as adapting business strategies based on current market trends. 

In collaboration with cross-functional teams, you will leverage data analytics, market insights, and customer feedback to optimize sales performance, strengthen relationships with educational institutions, and deliver value to educators and learners. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with proven experience in scaling sales teams, managing data-driven sales strategies, and driving results in the education or technology sectors.

This role is open to remote candidates that permanently reside within the United States. Travel is required up to 40% of the year. 

What you will be doing:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies and business plans and achieving quota attainment.
  • Produce and submit sales forecast reports throughout the fiscal year. 
  • Oversee and manage sales budgets. 
  • Identify, track and adjust plans and strategies to current market activity.
  • Manage effective use of SalesForce and SalesLoft focused on creating a healthy pipeline and call activities. 
  • Regularly review key data reports to analyze performance and leverage information to drive strategy amongst the team.
  • Consistently assess coverage of the inside sales team and make recommendations accordingly that are driven by market trends. 
  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of managers to drive sales performance, foster professional growth, and ensure alignment with organizational and sales goals.

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master's Degree preferred. 
  • 7+ years of management experience. 
  • 10+ years of sales experience with demonstrated success at hitting sales quotas.
  • 7+ years of building business plans, performing market analysis and building/managing budgets. 
  • 3+ years working with an inside sales team required.
  • Strong data analytical skills that drive strategy.
  • Experience producing accurate sales forecasts built on current market data/trends. 
  • Selling experience in the K12 education industry required.

The pay range for this position is between $150,000 - 175,000 annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
