Job Overview

SUMMARY

The wash bay/shop assistant is responsible for shuttling and washing cars, keeping them organized and ready to be worked on by technicians. Load and unload equipment customers are picking up or dropping off. Clean filters, change tires and detail cars as needed.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Wash cars and make sure cars are lined up and ready for technicians.
• Shuttle cars inside and outside as needed for loads coming in and going out, keeping lined up cars neat.
• Stage equipment for service technicians throughout the day keeping area and equipment organized when doing so.
• Load and unload equipment customers are picking up or dropping off.
• Complete local light or individual deliveries when needed.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, improve and promote quality, and monitor own work to ensure quality. • Observe all safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions and use equipment and materials properly.
• Treat management and other employees with respect and contribute to building a positive team.
• Perform related responsibilities/accountabilities as required or directed.
• Work to develop a sense of "team" in the service department and across other departments.
• Clean equipment prior to it entering the service department.
• Clean filters, change tires and detail cars as needed. • Collect and dispose of trash.
• Inspect, clean and maintain all equipment used reporting and hazard or faulty equipment to manager.
• Additional duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Must be willing to work a normal 40 hour per week and longer hours as needed to meet customer demands.
• Able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 80 lbs. plus work outdoor and indoors in all weather.
• Must have good organizational, multitasking skills.
