Job Description 

Title:  Welder

Supervisor:  Production Supervisor

Primary Purpose: 

The purpose of a Welder is to setup and operate the welding equipment according to various specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The primary duties of the Welder position are as follows:

• Setup and operate the welding equipment per various specifications, including Robotic Welders.
• Weld parts according to print specification.
• Maintain department organization and cleanliness.
• Work with other work centers to maintain a continuous workflow of product.
• Report any equipment repairs, modification as necessary.
• Meet quality standards and report any discrepancies.
• Identify Raw Material, Work in Progress and Finished Product at all times.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Must be able to read blueprints.  Must have the ability to work with others and to setup and operate heavy machinery.  CNC control knowledge necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Requires the ability to stand 90% of the day.  Frequent bending possible.  Ability to lift 50-75 pounds on a frequent basis.
