Job Overview
- Perform MIG welding (most common) on steel frames and components
- Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings
- Fabricate, position, and secure structural parts for home chassis and framing
- Operate welding equipment and tools safely
- Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow company safety standards and OSHA guidelines
- Work with production teams to meet daily/weekly output goals
- Experience with MIG welding (TIG/Stick is a plus but less common here)
- Ability to read measuring tools (tape measure, square, etc.)
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periods
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Previous experience in manufacturing or construction welding
- Certification (AWS or similar) – often preferred but not always required
- Experience working in a production-line environment
