This position will be an unpaid internship in our Wellness Center. This position will be under general supervision of the Wellness Center Manager. As the Wellness Associate Intern you will assist the wellness staff with daily operations and activities as well as supporting the staff with administrative and organizational tasks. The intern will greet and assist members and visitors in a friendly, professional manner. They will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. As the Wellness Intern you will assist with fitness, recreation, or community programs. You will also help with preparing, organizing, and designing group and personal training classes and sessions. Other duties as assigned.

Description

The Wellness Center Associate internship provides students with hands-on experience in a welcoming environment focused on health, fitness, wellness, and community support. Interns will learn about daily wellness center operations while developing valuable communication, customer service, organizational, and professional skills.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Interest of studying towards a degree in exercise science, wellness, fitness, or community services is preferred.
• Must be dependable, with a willingness to learn and adapt
• Must be able to follow directions and maintain a professional attitude
• Must have experience with public speaking and customer service; Attention to detail; Positive upbeat attitude; and has the ability to take initative.
