Medical Records Clerk – part-time

Hospice of Dubuque is seeking a part-time Medical Records Clerk to join our team.

The Medicare Records Clerk:

• Reviews documentation for completeness prior to filing and ensures appropriate filing in each patient’s medical record.
• Assures that all required components are present in each medical record.
• May need to verify information via the agency’s electronic medical record.
• Assists with the archiving of non-current clinical records.
• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding all records and client information.
• Makes copies and/or scans documents as needed and as directed.
• Performs other clerical duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma required. Some college preferred.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical records highly recommended.
• Attention to detail and accuracy required.

Competitive wages. 15—20 hours per week.  Weekdays only.
