 Hospice Aide

The Hospice of Dubuque Interdisciplinary Team has been serving the tri-state area for over 42 years, bringing compassionate, high quality care to individuals in the final chapter of life.

Hospice of Dubuque is seeking a CNA to join our team in the role of Hospice Aide.

The Hospice Aide:

• Functions as a member of the Hospice of Dubuque Interdisciplinary Team.
• Visits hospice patients/families their place of residence, which may be a home, apartment, or facility.
• Provides personal care following each patient’s individualized plan of care.
• Documents using the agency’s electronic medical record.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of a state-approved CNA training and competency evaluation program and currently listed in good standing on the state nurse aide registry.
• One year of healthcare experience.
• Compassion, sensitivity, and strong communication skills.
• Desire to work as part of a cohesive care team providing end-of-life care to clients.
