Requirements
- Associate degree or two-year degree program of a school of Radiologic Technology required
- National Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) R-Radiology
- Must be licensed with State of Wisconsin
- 2 yrs of experience with MRI and/or CT preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Knowledge of profession’s code of ethics required
- Knowledge of radiology equipment and testing required
- Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement required
- Experience in emergency, surgical and specialty care preferred
- Proficient in computerized word processing and knowledge of Hospital Information Systems preferred
Work Hours
We are seeking a full-time (36 hours/week) Radiology Technologist to work four days per week, between the hours of 7am-7pm. Shifts can vary in length (8, 9 or 12 hours). Works one Holiday CT/Xray shift per year, and weekends as needed when our weekend package staff are off. This position will work in MRI at least three days per week, and will also help cover in general imaging, CT, and Fluoroscopy.
Job Summary
The Radiology Technologist is under the general direction of the Director of Radiology and Lead MRI Technologist with the clinical supervision of the Radiologist and performs examinations of patients of all ages for the purpose of assisting in the diagnosis of patient illnesses. Responsible for performing required MRI procedures that require independent skills and judgment to apply prescribed MRI scans for diagnostic purposes. Also performs related departmental activities: such as clerical duties, scheduling, image processing, patient transportation, computer billing. This Technologist contributes to the efficient operation of the MRI department, ensuring the quality and continuity of patient care which includes: protocol management, policies and procedures, patient safety, quality control, and performance improvement. Also performs related radiology departmental activities (general imaging, CT, Fluoroscopy).
