Job Title

RN SBS Inpatient

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must fulfill licensure requirements of the State of Wisconsin for an RN and be legally eligible to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and RN Scope of Practice required.
  • Six months to one year experience in pa psychiatric setting, nursing home, or equivalent education or experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Work Hours

1. We are seeking a part-time (12 hour/week) Charge RN to work nights (5:45pm-6:15am) on our geriatric psych unit. This position includes an every third weekend and holiday rotation.

2.  We are seeking a PRN RN to fill in as needed on our geriatric psych unit. Shifts are 5:45am-6:15pm or 5:45pm-6:15am.

Job Summary

Provides nursing care and service in accordance with physician orders and following the individualized treatment plan for each patient in order to achieve the highest practicable level of mental and physical well-being for each patient in compliance with current nursing and medical standards of care, federal, state regulations, and Southwest Health policy and procedures. Manages activities within the therapeutic milieu and directs the delivery of nursing care by other members of the nursing treatment team. Utilizes the nursing process in the execution of general nursing procedures in the maintenance of health, prevention of illness or care of the ill through the performance of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
