Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Six months to one year experience with customer relations
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures/equipment and computer systems
  • Familiarization with medical terminology and prior health care experience preferred
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred

Work Hours

We are growing and seeking two full-time (40 hours/week) Patient Scheduling Specialist to work days, Monday-Friday, within the UW Health Platteville Specialty Clinic located at Southwest Health in Platteville, WI.

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Patient Scheduling Specialist are to arrange for efficient and orderly check in, check out and scheduling of patients across multiple specialties.  A patient scheduling specialist (PSS) ensures that accurate patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. These duties will be performed in a “Customer oriented” professional manner.
