  • High school diploma or GED required; post high school education preferred
  • 6 months to 1 year prior experience as a pharmacy technician preferred
  • Must be able to comply with pharm tech regulations & requirements
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician credentials preferred

Work Hours

We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) pharmacy technician to work between the hours of 7:30a-5:00pm in the inpatient pharmacy.  Includes an every 4th Saturday rotation, 7:30a-12:30a and 2 holidays/year.  Position also has on-call responsibilities.

Job Summary

Plays a fundamental part in keeping the pharmacy department operating. The technician must be skilled in all functions of the department that do not require the professional judgment or activity of the pharmacist. The technician is relied upon to maintain basic department operations and to follow policies and procedures as outlined by the Director, the hospital administration, and state and federal law, rules and regulations. The technician works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist and must be flexible to the demands of the daily workflow.
