Requirements

  • Requires a diploma or degree form an accredited school of nursing
  • One to two years’ experience in a clinic or hospital setting preferred
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Fulfillment of licensure of the State of Wisconsin for an RN, and be legally eligible to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Basic proficiency in word processing and Excel programs; software proficiency covering a variety of health care / clinical record applications.
  • Additional department-specific certifications required/recommended per the department Manager or Director

Work Hours

We are seeking a full-time (36 hours/ week) RN to work weekdays in the Orthopedic department. This position will work directly with Podiatry two days per week performing foot and nail care. Remaining hours would be general orthopedic nursing duties.

Job Summary

Administers nursing care to designated out-patients in a clinic setting in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and supervision of a licensed physician, physician's assistant, and/or nurse practitioner. Performs a variety of direct patient care duties in compliance with physicians' orders and appropriate protocol. Performs a variety of indirect patient care duties under the supervision of the Clinic Manager. Reviews and prepares clinical records prior to clinic dates to ensure referring physicians' notes and corresponding reports are available for the reference by the specialist.
