ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

Teach & Train
• Lead hands-on, college-level courses in PLCs, robotics, motor controls, and industrial automation.
• Assist in the development of new automation degree program aligned with industry trends.
• Work with students on real-world manufacturing projects to improve automation and efficiency.

Support Industry Growth
• Collaborate with manufacturers as part of U.S. Department of Energy-funded Wisconsin Energy Partnership (WEP), a twoyear multi-partner energy initiative, ensuring performance goals are met on time and within budget. To assess workforce training needs and develop customized training programs.
• Deliver workshops and upskilling sessions for employees.
• Help businesses implement smart manufacturing and automation strategies.

Inspire Future Talent
• Engage high school students with dual-credit courses and career exploration.
• Participate in STEM events and career fairs to promote automation careers.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Must-Have:
• Associate degree or higher in Automation, Industrial Technology, Electro-Mechanical, Robotics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience in automation, PLC programming, robotics, or motor controls.
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing automation and smart manufacturing.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for mentoring the next generation.

Nice to Have (But Not Required):
• Experience developing training programs or instructional materials.
• Familiarity with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or other major PLC systems.
• Certifications in automation, robotics, or related fields.

SKILLS

• PLC Programming – Proficiency in programming
and troubleshooting PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).
• Robotics – Hands-on experience working with industrial robotics systems.
• Motor Controls – Knowledge of AC/DC motors, motor starters, VFDs, and control logic.
• Industrial Automation – Broad understanding of
automated manufacturing systems, sensors, HMIs, and industrial networks.
• Smart Manufacturing – Familiarity with modern trends like IIoT, machine data collection, and connected systems.
• Technical Troubleshooting – Ability to diagnose and resolve automation and control system issues

Rehab Intern

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Experience in the healthcare field is preferred.
  • Current enrollment in or interest in a healthcare-related field preferred (e.g., pre-PT, pre-OT, pre-SLP, kinesiology, exercise science).

Work Hours

We are seeking a 20-40 hours/week Rehab Intern to work Monday-Friday in our Rehab Department.

Job Summary

The Rehab Intern supports the Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy departments by assisting with patient treatment preparation, clean-up, equipment and room cleaning, supply management, and general department support tasks. This position provides hands-on exposure to a rehabilitation setting and assists therapists to ensure safe, efficient, and organized patient care environments.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded as management may deem.

  1. Assists Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists with patient treatment preparation and clean-up.
  2. Prepares treatment areas prior to patient sessions and ensures rooms are clean, stocked, and organized.
  3. Cleans and disinfects therapy equipment and treatment surfaces according to department and infection control standards.
  4. Retrieves, organizes, and restocks therapy supplies and equipment as needed.
  5. Assists with transporting equipment, patients, and setting up treatment areas.
  6. Supports therapists during treatment sessions as appropriate and directed (e.g., positioning equipment, fetching items).
  7. Maintains a neat, safe, and organized therapy department environment.
  8. Assists with general department tasks and small projects as assigned.
  9. Follows all Southwest Health safety, infection control, compliance, and HIPAA standards.
  10. Adheres to Southwest Health’s value-based behavior standards.
  11. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Hospitalist- Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA)

Requirements

  • Graduate of a Master’s Nurse Practitioner Degree in Nursing Science or a Master’s Physician Assistant program.
  • Must fulfill licensure requirements as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber in the State of Wisconsin.
  • DEA certification is required upon completion of the credentialing process.
  • Previous experience as a PA or NP in acute care is preferred.
  • Proficient in a variety of computer applications with basic understanding of computer hardware and software, specifically word processing, spreadsheets internet and email.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.

Work Hours

We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to work as a Hospitalist for 24-72 hour shifts (7am start). This position includes an every fourth weekend and holiday rotation.

Job SummaryThe NP/PA Hospitalist will provide acutely ill patients the necessary medical care in an acute hospital setting by assessing, diagnosing, treating, and evaluating responses to treatment in various illnesses.  The NP/PA will be an in-house provider, responsible for admissions and/or codes and cross coverage as needed.  The successful applicant is set to work covering care of patients in the hospital with physician backup available by phone as needed.

RN Surgical Services

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelors or associates degree from an accredited school of nursing,
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), additional department-specific certifications required/recommended per the Clinical Employee Certification Requirements document.
  • Fulfillment of licensure of the State of Wisconsin for a RN, and be legally eligible to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Knowledge of and understands the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and RN Scope of Practice
  • Basic computer skills and of specialized equipment used within the department.

Work Hours

We are seeking a full-time, 36 hours/week, Circulating RN to work 4-9 hour days in our Surgery Department. This position includes an on-call rotation with a 30 minute response time. On-call rotation is every tenth weekday/weekend.

Job Summary

Provides nursing care and service in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, current laws and regulations and under the direction of medical staff.  Follows the individualized plan of care for each patient in order to achieve the highest practicable level of physical and mental well-being for each patient in compliance with current nursing standards of care and practice and medical standards of care, federal, state regulations, and Southwest Health policy and procedure.  Utilizes the nursing process in the execution of general nursing procedures in the maintenance of health, prevention of illness or care of the ill through the performance of assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
