Qualifications:

  • Active Iowa Nursing License.
  • Active CPR Certification.

Registered Nurse (RN)

Surgical Assistant

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Previous experience in endoscopy or related clinical setting preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Work Hours

We are seeking a full-time (36 hours/week) Surgical Assistant to work 4-5 days per week (Monday- Friday) in our Surgery Department. Hours are between 7am-5pm.

Job Summary

The Surgical Assistant supports the surgical team by maintaining a sterile environment and assisting surgeons during operative procedures. Responsibilities include handling instruments properly, holding retractors, maintaining exposure of the operative field, and ensuring adherence to sterile technique and infection control standards.

Endoscopy Technician

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required with additional technical training in area of specialty.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Previous experience in endoscopy or related clinical setting preferred/ Knowledge of on the job training.
  • Knowledge of hospital inventory and stocking procedures helpful.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support required.
  • Will complete Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) Certification within 2 years of hire.

Job Summary

The Endoscopy Technician provides support in the endoscopy suite by preparing and maintaining equipment, assisting physicians and nurses during procedures, cleaning of scope/room post procedure, and ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role requires knowledge of high-level disinfection, proper handling of endoscopic instruments, and adherence to infection control standards.
