As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you provide physical therapy services to patients by assisting in assessment, treatment, program planning and implementation, and related documentation and communication. You will function under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. As well as adhere to applicable principles and practices of physical therapy, facility policies and procedures and state regulations.

Job Duties:
  • Assists in establishing and modifying individual patient scheduled in conjunction with the Physical Therapist and other team members.
  • Assists the Physical Therapist in identifying a problem list, long-term goals, short-term goals and a treatment plan.
  • Monitors patient’s response to intervention and consults with Physical Therapist if modification is indicated.
  • Adheres to department and patient schedules and modifies as appropriate for a treatment regime.
  • Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.

The preferred schedule would be afternoon hours Monday – Thursday, around 20 hours a week

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Completes set up and tear down of requested therapeutic equipment and requested food for Feeding Therapy
  • Assists with therapy projects as requested by staff
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the health care team, patient, and family.

Job Summary
This position will involve understanding our scheduling tools, assembling and loading the company truck, executing paperwork and computer work, and unloading and correct placement of materials into the plant. Driving and waiting to be docked is likely to consume around 2 hours of a standard 8-hour day.
The other 6 hours of the day will be standard dock work – involving preparing the load and documents, relieving others for breaks, assisting with busy dock times, and preparing for the next day.
 
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Drive company truck
  • Transfer supplies between the North & South plant
  • Pick up and deliver to and from local vendors
  • Complete Paperwork and Computer Work
  • Basic Record keeping and maintenance such as checking oil, inspections, and cleanliness.
  • Organization of storage areas
    • Receiving and organizing materials
      • Help unload and load trucks 
      • Verify tags on skids
      • Keep the racks updated with correct tags
    • Keeping materials organized in a way that is efficient for both production and the shipping department
    • Daily temperature monitoring and communicating with the maintenance department when there is a problem
    • Safe operation of warehousing equipment
    • Prepare for incoming products to speed up the receiving process

CYCLE COUNTER
WAGE: $17/HOUR

The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy in the warehouse by performing routine cycle counts of primary, reserve, and special pick locations. This role investigates inventory discrepancies and works with warehouse operations to implement corrective actions and improve processes. (Examples of this role in other companies: cycle count job descriptions from similar warehouse operations.)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled cycle-counts of inventory locations (primary pick, reserve, emergency pick locations). 
  • Compare physical counts with system records (WMS/ERP) and document discrepancies. 
  • Investigate root causes of variances (e.g., misplaced items, data entry errors, missing labels) and collaborate with warehouse/operations teams to resolve. 
  • Assist with SKU slotting and re-slotting to maintain optimal inventory flow and accuracy (sometimes required). 
  • Use handheld scanners, RF equipment or other warehouse systems to record counts and manipulate inventory locations.
  • Support periodic full physical inventories or audit activities as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all safety rules in the warehouse environment. 
  • Produce daily/weekly reports on count results, discrepancies, and corrective action status (depending on company size).
  • Collaborate with other departments (receiving, put-away, operations) to ensure inventory integrity.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. 
  • Previous warehouse, inventory control or cycle count experience preferred (1+ years typical). 
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office – Excel) and familiarity with warehouse/inventory systems (WMS/ERP) preferred. 
  • Forklift/pallet jack operation may be required or preferred depending on the warehouse. 
  • Ability to lift up to ~40-70 lbs occasionally, walk/stand for long periods, bend, reach, push/pull carts. 
  • Strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Ability to work shift hours, possibly weekends or overtime during peak inventory periods or holidays.

Lead patient safety strategy / Resource for patient safety

  • Provides feedback to update the UPH system plan as needed.
  • Work closely with Risk Management, other market Patient Safety leaders, and UnityPoint Health Leadership, to conduct an annual assessment of patient risks and recommends patient safety goals.
