Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville is accepting applicants for a full-time Administrative Specialist. This position provides professional-level support across several departments including: Continuing Education, Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL), Karrmann Library, Textbook Center, Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). As directed, responsibilities include managing reports, overseeing operational workflows, logistics, coordinating communication efforts, and assisting with recruitment and compliance initiatives. Responsibilities:

  • Support administrative needs of Continuing Education, Center for Excellence in Teaching & Learning (CETL), Karrmann Library, Textbook Center, and Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP).
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for CETL, Continuing Education and ORSP via phone, in person, and through other communication mediums.
  • Maintain and update departmental SharePoint sites and other internal documentation platforms.
  • Supervise a team of student employees, assigning tasks and supporting their growth and development.
  • Develop and implement logistical frameworks and communication strategies to support faculty and instructors, ensuring accessibility.
  • Support undergraduate research coordination logistics as needed.
  • Allocate resources and manage logistical frameworks for ongoing OER grant programs.
  • Assist with recruitment processes for relevant programs.
  • Schedule logistics and secure resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and operational tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support to ORSP, CETL, Library and Continuing Education staff, including data entry, proofreading, and formatting documents.
  • Maintain and update databases as needed.
  • Assist with scheduling, document preparation, and logistics for meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
  • Perform other responsibilities as delegated, within the scope of training and qualifications.

Pre-Award Grants and Contracts Specialist

Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a Pre-Award Grants and Contracts Specialist in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP). This is a dynamic, full-time, benefit-eligible position that plays a critical role in supporting faculty and staff in securing external funding and helps facilitate internal funding proposals.

The Specialist manages all aspects of pre-award grant administration while also providing essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the ORSP. The successful candidate will work directly with principal investigators to prepare and route proposals, facilitate award setup, and ensure compliance with institutional, state, and federal guidelines.

In addition, the Specialist will collaborate closely with the university’s grant accountant and compliance officer to support accurate budgeting, proposal review, and award management.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with faculty and research staff to identify external funding opportunities and communicate relevant information to potential principal investigators.
  • Prepare and route proposals, award documents, and sponsored project agreements in accordance with established university and sponsor policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to internal deadlines.
  • Review proposal budgets for accuracy and compliance with sponsor and institutional guidelines.
  • Coordinate with Financial Services and campus partners to establish new accounts in the financial accounting system.
  • Interpret and review award terms and conditions to support accurate post-award setup and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and data in ORSP systems for audit, reporting, and tracking purposes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding pre-award processes, funding opportunities, and general ORSP operations.
  • Monitor and adapt to changes in grant policies and procedures at the federal, state, and institutional levels, and communicate updates to faculty and staff.
  • Assist with coordinating undergraduate research initiatives and activities as part of the ORSP’s mission.

Pharmacy Technician Inpatient

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required, post-high school education preferred.
  • Six months to one year prior experience as a pharmacy technician preferred.

Work Hours

  • We are seeking a full-time (40 hours/week) Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to work Monday- Friday between 7:30am- 6:00pm; includes an every fourth weekend (Saturdays 7:30am-12:30pm) and holiday rotation. On call, approximately 1x per week & 1 weekend every other month.

Job Summary

Plays a fundamental part in keeping the pharmacy department operating. The technician must be skilled in all functions of the department that do not require the professional judgment or activity of the pharmacist. The technician works under the direct supervision of the pharmacist and must be flexible to the demands of the daily workflow.

  12. Educates patients on important aspects of eye care by explaining the principles of basic eye care and testing procedures being performed.
  13. Ensures that all industrial frames are clean and accounted for.
  14. Assists in dispensing contact lenses and frames.
  15. Performs frame adjustments and repairs.
  16. Monitors service levels from current lens labs and reports any decrease in service to Clinical Manager
  17. Responsible for sending all weekly and monthly reports to the regional supervisor on a timely basis including invoice receiving report complete with all invoices, sent on a weekly basis, and daily transaction sheet, sent on a regular basis/
  18. Responsible for efficiently managing his/her on site inventory.
  19. Checks items in the optical area, including contacts, for expirations.
  20. Maintains equipment in a preventative maintenance program (i.e. proper handling, care, cleaning, changing bulbs, batteries, etc.).
  21. Manages patient complaints/problems.
  22. Ensures that all company policies and procedures are followed; reports any discrepancy or change in policy to the Clinic Manager.

What Will You Do?

An Electrical Technician is an individual with high mechanical aptitude, who are comfortable using hand/power tools and willing to learn and take directions.

Our products are built utilizing an assortment of documents to assemble and construct manufactured commercial and industrial refrigeration products in our production environment. This is a hands-on, in-person position at our Dyersville, IA location that requires engaged employees who are willing to learn and take direction. You will receive day-to-day job training, guidance, and direction from qualified personnel to perform the following essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Assist with the electrical layout per design documentation and wiring schematics on assigned projects
  • Determine mounting of major components for the electrical system including rack controllers, transformers, auxiliary panels, variable frequency drives, etc.

As a Heavy Equipment Test Mechanic with John Deere in Dubuque, IA, you will:

Set up, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and operate hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment to conduct laboratory and field tests of agricultural implements and components as part of the product development process.

Job details are dependent on duties assigned but in general consist of the following:

  • Effectively work with engineers and customers in planning, developing, implementing, and executing field or lab testing of equipment.
  • Diagnose issues and make necessary repairs and adjustments as required to complete test.
  • Fabricate parts by cutting, bending, machining, assembling, and welding as needed.
  • Record findings and create written reports to document test conditions, performance, quality, and work performed.
  • Disassemble units after tests and check for misalignment and wear.
  • Lubricate, adds coolant, and clean equipment.
  • Assist and support other team members and work with minimal supervision.
  • Clean work area and perform other miscellaneous duties inherent to the job.
  • Work shifts (choice of shift based on seniority).
  • May also perform duties such as:
    • Prepare and load equipment for movement to test site.
    • Make personal contacts with dealers and branch personnel to finalize arrangements for tests.
    • Perform setup on machine for test, including assembly, adjusting, fueling and lubrication.
    • Operate equipment under field test conditions.
    • Install and/or operate instrumentation for tests.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have at least one of the following:
    • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
    • National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)
    • At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience
  • Mechanical journeyperson’s card or at least 4 years of heavy equipment diesel mechanic work experience (or equivalent Military experience / training).
  • Ability to perform manual tasks related to described job duties for duration of work shift, including but not limited to frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability and willingness to work any shift and potential overtime (including weekends).

We are seeking a skilled Digital Content Strategist to join our Web Center of Excellence (COE) team. As Digital Content Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a unified web content strategy. You will work collaboratively with stakeholders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and content creators across the organization to ensure that our website content aligns with business objectives and meets the needs of our customers.

What you will be doing:

  • Design and implement a cohesive content strategy that aligns with organizational goals and enhances user engagement across digital platforms.
  • Conduct content organizational analysis to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement best practices for content life-cycle management and reuse to optimize content and maximize impact.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams on new content development and provide strategic input on site hierarchy and content optimization.
  • Oversee the taxonomy and optimize the use of metadata within our CMS to improve content discoverability and management.
  • Develop workflows to streamline content creation and web publishing processes, including translation and localization to ensure cultural relevance and accuracy for global audiences.
  • Perform regular content audits to assess quality, relevance, and SEO performance, providing actionable recommendations for improvement

We are looking for someone with:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with a proven track record managing enterprise website content or large-scale content migrations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop content governance policies ensuring quality, accessibility, compliance, and maintain a central governance hub with outlined standards.
  • Provide guidance on web content localization, global governance, and create RACI models for each content type.
  • Set and evaluate KPIs to measure content success and effectiveness.
  • Experienced in content life-cycle management, modular content reuse strategies, and audience segmentation based on customer needs analysis.
  • Experience in web CMS platforms like Adobe Experience Manager, with basic HTML/CSS knowledge and website administration experience.
  • Skilled in SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMrush, Moz), analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities, with high integrity, autonomy, and self-motivation; experienced using task management tools like Asana and Jira.

The pay range for this position is between $62K-$85K annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
