HR Business Partner – East Region, Monticello, IA

This position is located at our centralized HR office in Monticello, IA. Hybrid work schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in the office, and Tuesday and Thursday working remotely upon successful completion of the training program.

This key position will serve in multiple roles; high organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively and to high-quality standards are required.

Front Office:

Corporate office receptionist, duties include:

  • Greeting visitors and answering phones.
  • Help process incoming and outgoing location mail as needed
  • Assist the location with corporate mailings
  • Assist the VP of HR and the HR team, and other executive team members on projects as needed.

Recruitment/Onboarding:

  • Recruiting – Drive recruitment of hourly FT, Seasonal employees, and FT salaried employees for the Northeast and Southeast regions of IAS.
  • Hirebridge Applicant Tracking System administration with the ability to train others on the use of the product.
  • Work with the Communications Director and other HR team members on recruitment marketing ad pieces, including the creation and placement of recruitment ads. Will code recruitment invoices for payment.
  • Work in the HireRight background platform on a routine basis.
  • Partner with the HR Team on managing the IAS Internship program and High School and College Outreach programs. Support the HR team in establishing relationships with educational and community organizations to build a diverse applicant pool for both short-term and long-term recruitment of future employees. Attend Job Fairs, Networking events, and other similar gatherings to build the branding of IAS as an employer.
  • Routine maintenance of the JJ Keller Learning Management System and ADP HRIS system
  • Onboarding of new hires in the ADP platform.

  • Ensures that food items are served at proper temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen, as ordered by the customer.
  • Ensures neat presentation of all ordered items, with no spill-over.
  • Pre-buses tables and full buses tables when necessary during peak periods.
  • Maintains availability to work during many peak periods.
  • Stocks beverage station(s) when necessary (ice, juices, glassware, sugar packets, etc).
  • Maintains high responsiveness to customer desires and requests.
  • Maintains a professional and clean appearance.
  • Communicates with wait staff, bus persons, bartenders, supervisors, and kitchen staff in order to improve communication and coordination so that patrons may be impressed by their dining experience.
  • Builds and maintains knowledge regarding bar offerings so that patron questions may be accurately answered.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume environment preferred
  • Must have a High School Diploma, G.E.D. or related Food Service Job Experience.
  • Must acquire and maintain a Food Handlers Card and other required compliance trainings.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guest in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
