Job Responsibilities:

    • Create and write G & M-code CNC Lathe or Mill programs from blueprints.
    • Be able to read and understand blueprints and have a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
    • Ability to create a machining process by translating engineering drawings into finalized, actionable manufacturing plans.
    • Assist operators with initial run machine tool set-up, troubleshooting, and improving programs to maintain machine productivity.
    • Perform miscellaneous tasks as required to support manufacturing, engineering, quality, and quoting departments.
    • Ability to detect any malfunctions of tools, machine equipment, or setups.
    • Develop accurate and efficient fixturing for complicated part production when required.
    • Editing and adjusting existing programs as needed.
    • Ability to effectively and clearly present and express written and verbal information to individuals and/or groups required.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Other duties as assigned/required

Qualifications:

  • Must have 2+ years of experience in CNC Lathe Programming.
  • Must have 5+ years of previous CNC Lathe setup and operation experience
  • Proficient with measuring tools of the trade (indicator, micrometer, calipers, basic tool set)
  • Ability to work as a team and individually as needed
  • Valid Driver’s License

Hours:

  • First Shift work 5:30AM-2:30PM Monday-Friday (this is overtime schedule)
  • Overtime is available on an as needed basis

Industrial Maintenance Technician

Decker Precision Machining is currently looking for successful candidates to fill our Industrial Maintenance Technician positions.

Reports to: President/Shop Manager

Job Summary:

This candidate will primarily be responsible for the upkeep of the company’s facility and grounds. They must be well-rounded individuals who can perform efficient work on a variety of equipment, executing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspects the building, grounds, and equipment.
  • Conducting daily routine maintenance, housekeeping, and safety checks.
  • Handles necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling, as necessary.
  • Installs equipment and appliances.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment and complies with all company safety regulations.
  • Keeps a maintenance log and writes shift reports.
  • Reports any issues to the maintenance manager or clients.
  • Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion.
  • Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients.
  • Collaborates with the production team and contractors as needed.
  • Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions.
  • Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.
  • Implement the preventive maintenance program for production machinery and equipment as directed by the Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
  • Must complete record check and drug screening prior to employment.
  • Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
  • Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders or scaffolding.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the property and production facility.
  • Preferred: 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing (willing to train).
  • Must have a valid driver’ license and a clean driving record.

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
  • A certification in building maintenance is a plus.

Work Hours:

  • Monday — Friday 5:30 am to 2:30 PM (Overtime may be required)

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Five years of successful football coaching experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to grow and manage an intercollegiate football program.

Service Advisor

The individual that will hold the position of Service Advisor will be responsible for customer relations, scheduling repair appointments, and recording the condition of vehicles and completing write ups indicating the type of work needed.   This position also is responsible for the complete operation of the Service Department in the absence of the Service Manager or Shift Foreman.

  • Looking for someone to work a split-shift with some flexibility to fill-in as needed. Part-time need only.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (not in order of priority):

  • Operate within the goals set by the Service Manager in the business plan each year. He/she must work with the Service Manager and Foreman to strive to grow the department and make whatever decisions necessary to maintain a profitable Service Department.
  • Schedule work into the shop via telephone and customer direct contact, record the condition of the vehicle, and complete write up indicating the type of work needed based on initial SRT.
  • Interact with customers as dictated by day-to-day business following the principles of the Customer Bill of Rights. This includes calling customers to solicit work if schedule slows and dealing with customer complaints as they arise.
  • Consult with the Foreman on duty regarding the proper assignment of repair orders based on qualifications, training, and ability.
  • Recommend to the Service Manager or Shift Foreman any disciplinary actions that need to be taken to correct a problem with an employee of the Service Department.
  • Make recommendations and provide input to the Service Manager and/or Shift Foreman regarding performance evaluations and merit increases for Service Department employees.
  • Focus on customer’s expectations, predict and prevent potential problem situations, and strive for continuous improvement resulting in improved customer satisfaction and revenue for the Service Department.
  • Review parts that are ordered in and schedule the trucks in to have the parts installed on a daily basis.
  • Review and close repair orders daily.
  • Maintain a professional working relationship with all other managers in the dealership.
  • Participate in training as directed by the Service Manager.
  • Responsible for helping the department reach its profit goals.
  • Check for recalls and determine appropriate payment type.
  • Regular onsite attendance is required.
  • All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

 

Work Environment:

  • Frequently exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, paint and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials in an indoor and outdoor environment.
  • The noise level is usually moderate to loud.

 

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Deliver plastic pellets to molding machines to produce plastic parts.
  • Grind plastic stems and scrap parts to reuse in the molding process.
  • Use a computer to locate and issue needed materials.
  • Reconcile and return materials to the proper warehouse location.

Setup Technician – 2nd shift

Setup Technician – 2nd shift

Responsibilities include: installation and removal of molds in injection molding machines; placement and setup of auxiliary equipment; and workstation setup and organization.

Requirements: The preferred candidate will know plastic injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and a strong desire to excel. Mechanical abilities required, and we will train the right person. This is a permanent, full-time, hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with machinery.
