We are seeking a Saw Filer to perform inspection, maintenance, sharpening, and repair of saws used in sawmill operations. This position ensures saws are maintained to precise specifications to maximize lumber recovery, production efficiency, and safety while minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, maintain, and sharpen band saws, circular saws, and chipper knives
  • Hammer, tension, level, and align saws to manufacturer and mill specifications
  • Diagnose and correct saw performance issues (lead, dish, cracking, vibration)
  • Change and prepare saws for production, ensuring proper setup and tracking
  • Maintain accurate filing, grinding, and tensioning standards
  • Monitor saw wear and recommend replacement or repair as needed
  • Maintain filing room equipment and tools in safe working condition
  • Work closely with sawyers and maintenance personnel to address production issues
  • Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Keep filing room clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
  • Previous saw filer experience in a hardwood or softwood sawmill preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to read measuring tools and understand tolerances
  • Knowledge of saw steel behavior and wood cutting characteristics
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Accounting Manager & Analyst will perform accounting related duties including creating general ledger transactions, account reconciliations, month end closing, monthly consolidation and year end closings. Further the position will support financial analysis and operational decision-making within a manufacturing environment. This role blends traditional accounting functions, financial analysis, reporting, external accountant support, and hands-on operational backup, working closely with plant leadership and operations teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, able to work independently, experienced in working with manufacturing ERP systems, has solid decision-making capabilities and comfortable supporting multiple business functions and entities in a manufacturing setting.
 
Key Responsibilities 
  • Perform daily general ledger accounting transactions
  • Perform month end account reconciliation and closing
  • Perform month end consolidation processes
  • Assist with annual year end closing
  • Work with multiple ERP systems and entities that are a part of the consolidated group
  • Perform financial analysis related to manufacturing operations, including trends, variances, and performance metrics
  • Review and analyze job and production costs to support accurate costing and profitability analysis
  • Assist with financial reporting activities, including monthly and periodic reports
  • Support external accountant processes by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries
  • Monitor cost drivers and identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and cost improvements
  • Serve as operational backup support for key processes such as:
    • Payroll processing and related controls
    • Other administrative or finance-related operational functions as needed
  • Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to support business decisions
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
  • Assist with due diligence when companies are acquired
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required
  • A certified Public Accountant or Certified Manufacturing Accountant a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Financial analysis and reporting
    • Job costing and cost accounting concepts
    • Accounting processes and documentation
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial systems/ERP platforms

Disability Representative Sr

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provides disability case management and complex claim determinations based on medical documentation and the applicable disability plan interpretation including determining benefits due and making timely payments/approvals and adjustments, medically managing disability claims including comorbidities, concurrent plans, and complex ADA accommodations; coordinates investigative efforts, thoroughly reviews contested claims, negotiates return to work with or without job accommodations, and evaluates and arranges appropriate referral of claims to outside vendors.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Makes independent claim determinations, based on the information received, to approve complex disability claims or makes a recommendation to team lead to deny claims based on the disability plan.
  • Reviews and analyzes complex medical information (i.e. attending physician statements, office notes, operative reports, etc.) to determine if the claimant is disabled as defined by the disability plan.
  • Oversees additional facets of complex claims including but not limited to comorbidities, concurrent plans, complex ADA accommodations, and claims outside of typical guidelines.
  • Utilizes the appropriate clinical resources in case assessment (i.e. duration guidelines, in-house clinicians), as needed.
  • Determines benefits due pursuant to a disability plan, makes timely claims payments/approvals and adjustments for workers compensation, Social Security Disability Income (SSDI), and other disability offsets.
  • Informs claimants of documentation required to process claims, required time frames, payment information and claims status by phone, written correspondence and/or claims system.
  • Communicates with the claimants’ providers to set expectations regarding return to work.
  • Medically manages complex disability claims ensuring compliance with duration control guidelines and plan provisions.
  • Communicates clearly and timely with claimant and client on all aspects of claims process by phone, written correspondence and/or claims system.
  • Coordinates investigative efforts ensuring appropriateness; provides thorough review of contested claims.
  • Evaluates and arranges appropriate referral of claims to outside vendors or physician advisor reviews, surveillance, independent medical evaluation, functional capability evaluation, and/or related disability activities.
  • Negotiates return to work with or without job accommodations via the claimant’s physician and employer.
  • Refers cases to team lead and clinical case management for additional review when appropriate.
  • Maintains professional client relationships and provides excellent customer service.
  • Meets the organization’s quality program(s) minimum requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Licensing
High School diploma or GED required.  Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college preferred. State certification or licensing in statutory leaves is preferred or may be required based on state regulations.

Experience
Three (3) years of benefits or disability case/claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
