How can you make an impact?  
McGraw Hill, the leading provider of digital and print educational resources, is looking for an Academic Designer, Math 6-8.  Academic Designers are content and curriculum experts. They assemble high-quality content based on specific product requirements for programs and understand the solution design. They collaborate with the Academic Designer Managers, and team members to help develop the curriculum and instructional solution design (both conceptualization and implementation). 

 

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States. This is a Project Status Worker (PSW) role with an end date of 9/30/2026.

 

What you will be doing:   

  • Plan and develop culturally responsive, relevant, and sustaining content (including learning objectives, content, activities, and instructional supports) for teacher and student materials–including print, digital, and media projects.
  • Demonstrate knowledges of TEKS math standards
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of secondary math pedagogy and content.
  • Produce accurate, error-free, high-quality products that meet curriculum standards and market requirements and display appropriate content, reading level, grammar, and style.
  • Conduct quality assurance testing of digital assets within a variety of authoring tools, digital platforms, and applications.
  • Communicate with fellow team members about project progress and develop solutions to address issues.
  • Work closely with Academic Design grade level lead and Academic Design Manager to develop high-quality digital and print content based on specific product requirements for programs and understand the blended curriculum and instructional solution design.

 

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • 5-7 years of middle school or secondary product development experience; degree in math or education.
  • 5 or more years of 6-8 classroom experience.
  • Experience teaching in Texas preferred.
  • Detail oriented and able to edit a variety of materials both digital and print in a timely manner
  • Ability to communicate with fellow team members about project progress and develop solutions to address issues
  • Ability to create, visualize, and lay out content for various delivery formats and classroom settings.
  • Knowledge and skills to create digital assets within a variety of authoring tools, digital platforms, and applications, including knowledge of Habitat authoring.
  • Ability to conduct quality assurance testing of those assets
  • Knowledge of McGraw Hill’s Online Learning development processes and platforms, specifically OLP and Bento is preferred.

We are seeking a Solution Developer with expertise in creating customized digital and print content aligned to customer and state requirements. This collaborative professional partners with Product Managers, repurposes content into high quality solutions, follows established workflows, and manages assets while ensuring projects meet curriculum standards, schedules, budgets, and market objectives.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and deliver digital and print products including audio, video, eLearning, and learning objects in alignment with customer, market, and product specifications.
  • Partner closely with CCS Product Managers to understand project requirements and ensure solutions meet defined objectives.
  • Repurpose and adapt content as a generalist to produce accurate, high quality materials that align with curriculum standards and market needs.
  • Follow established workflows, manage timelines, and ensure all intermediate and final deliverables are completed on schedule.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams while organizing, tracking, and delivering project assets in accordance with departmental guidelines.

 

What you can bring to this role:

  • 3 years of experience in digital product development or digital program management, with exposure to print product development preferred.
  • Solid understanding of digital content development and instructional design principles, including key educational pedagogies and current teaching strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
  • Familiarity with content management systems and learning management systems preferred.
  • Highly organized professional who thrives in a fast paced environment and demonstrates initiative, integrity, and professionalism.
