Palletizer Operator (Label Stacker) – Day Shift

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Produce pallets of product properly stacked product, stretch wrapped, and ready to stored in the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures the palletizing machine are running at all times. Troubleshoot all palletizer machine malfunctions / abnormalities in a timely manner to maintain over-all line efficiency. This will include troubleshooting the machine, shuttle cars, wrappers and photo eyes. Inform maintenance of any repairs that are needed on any of the equipment. Select appropriate palletizing pattern. Verify code date at each changeover. Notify forklift driver of change over. Ensure pallets are of acceptable quality. Comply with QA standard guidelines. Ensure that all finished pallets are of acceptable quality. Check pallet pattern for each product. Verify that palletizer is set up for the correct bag size and pattern. Optimize stack patterns to uphold the BEST quality for the customer by minimizing over-hang, eliminating product gaps and presenting a tightly stacked symmetrical pallet. Coordinate material handling. Keep open communication with forklift driver to ensure that the lines do not run out of materials. Communicate with the Parsons/Thiele operators to plan ahead for upcoming changeovers. Change materials out as needed when changing products. Ensure that the correct materials are being utilized per product. I.E. Correct pallets, slip sheets and film. Assist the manifestor in the LP process. Cover the manifest station while this employee is on break. Verify ACCURACY of LP’s applied to pallets. Ensure G-Code and quantity are CORRECT.

Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings. As a member of the Team, fosters strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues; e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.

Physical Activities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and lift up to 55lbs. Lifting of up to 55lbs will likely take place 15% of the time. The employee will also be subject to hot and cold climates.

Schedule:

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  •  Manage the selection, training, development, performance evaluation and performance 
    concerns for direct reports. Ensure adequate staffing, effectiveness of staff, and 
    appropriate delivery of services. 
  • Assist coding, clinical, ancillary departments, and business office staff by answering 
    questions and providing them with information to assist them in correct coding and 
    billing procedures as well as direct coding compliance educational programs for coding 
    staff, clinical staff, and providers.
  • Monitor guidelines from Federal, State and Commercial payers for appropriate coding. 
    Direct and perform chart audits for coding per direction of the compliance plan, including 
    clinic and Heath Plan business.
  • Manage claims scrubber error reports and work queues. Responsible for all coding rules 
    in Clinic’s claim scrubber product.
  • Complete all other assigned projects and duties.

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience. Understands regulatory 
requirements and standards (Medicare, Medicaid, OIG, etc) and can interpret 
Medicare regulations. Knowledge of CPT, HCPCs, ICD-9/ICD-10 coding and 
compliance. Management experience preferred.

Education: Equivalent to a two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of 
study or certification at a business or trade school. RHIT or RHIA certification 
preferred. Coding certification such as CPC is required. 

Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally 
and/or externally) is an important part of the job.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open office and shop positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation within UKG and other HR systems.

Dental Hygiene Program Director/Faculty-Peosta Campus

To fully support the mission of Northeast Iowa Community College through the functions of teaching, service and scholarship. To provide effective instruction to ensure academic programming attains student learning outcomes and prepares students for successful transition into the workforce or transfer to a post-secondary institution. To carry out assigned responsibilities to ensure academic programs are sustainable and aligned with accreditation standards.

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:
A registered dental hygienist who is a graduate of a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited program OR a dentist who is a graduate of a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accredited program and has a clear understanding of dental hygiene education and experience working with dental hygienists.
    1. Meet certification, registration or licensure required to practice in the state of Iowa or have the ability to obtain such.
    2. A masters degree or higher.
    3. A minimum of three full time or five part time years (6,000 hours) of recent experience as a dental hygienist or a dentist.
    4. Highly competent in the dental hygiene discipline.
    5. Able to instruct, assess, and evaluate dental hygiene student learning and performance following CODA standards.
    6. Ability to appropriately and sufficiently relate well to students, colleagues, and external partners.
    7. Meet the instructor credentialing requirements of the Commission on Dental Accreditation and Northeast Iowa Community College’s Quality Faculty Plan (QFP).
    8. Previous formal teaching experience is preferred.

As a Software Developer on our Retail Commerce team, you’ll work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and other talented developers to design and implement solutions that push the boundaries of what’s possible. Qualifications:
• BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalency in related education and professional work experience
• Experience with Retail Commerce Systems is helpful, including Product Sourcing, Call Center, eCommerce and Order Fulfillment Systems
• 5+ years of work experience in a software development role
• 3+ years of experience in a combination of the following:
– .NET Core, C#; development of RESTful API services. Certifications and additional experience with languages such as Python a plus.
– Demonstrated knowledge of microservices architecture, application development lifecycle, event-driven and asynchronous architecture, object-oriented design, etc.
– MySQL, Dynamo, or similar database experience
– Azure DevOps and Pipelines; CI/CD a plus
– Git or an equivalent distributed version-control system / repo
– Cloud-based infrastructure, AWS preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Experience retiring legacy applications by replacing them with innovative modern solutions
• Proven ability to collaborate on designs, estimates, and delivery of complex development tasks while acting as a proactive team member in an Agile development environment
• Creates clean and maintainable code following coding standards and secure coding requirements
• Proficient in verbal and written communication for both technical and business audiences
