Janitor – Night Shift

To maintain the facility and grounds in a manner consistent with the requirements of the complex facility manager while meeting all local, state or federal requirements.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure cleanliness of offices and production areas: Maintains a clean work area following master sanitation schedule to ensure requirements are met in all offices, bathrooms, and break-rooms. Meeting timelines and completing daily reports to verify completion.

Palletizer Operator (Label Stacker) – Night Shift

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Produce pallets of product properly stacked product, stretch wrapped, and ready to stored in the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures the palletizing machine are running at all times. Troubleshoot all palletizer machine malfunctions / abnormalities in a timely manner to maintain over-all line efficiency. This will include troubleshooting the machine, shuttle cars, wrappers and photo eyes. Inform maintenance of any repairs that are needed on any of the equipment. Select appropriate palletizing pattern. Verify code date at each changeover. Notify forklift driver of change over. Ensure pallets are of acceptable quality. Comply with QA standard guidelines. Ensure that all finished pallets are of acceptable quality. Check pallet pattern for each product. Verify that palletizer is set up for the correct bag size and pattern. Optimize stack patterns to uphold the BEST quality for the customer by minimizing over-hang, eliminating product gaps and presenting a tightly stacked symmetrical pallet. Coordinate material handling. Keep open communication with forklift driver to ensure that the lines do not run out of materials. Communicate with the Parsons/Thiele operators to plan ahead for upcoming changeovers. Change materials out as needed when changing products. Ensure that the correct materials are being utilized per product. I.E. Correct pallets, slip sheets and film. Assist the manifestor in the LP process. Cover the manifest station while this employee is on break. Verify ACCURACY of LP’s applied to pallets. Ensure G-Code and quantity are CORRECT.

Line Driver – Night Shift

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 Operator is responsible for storing and retrieving goods in the storage area of the workplace. Rotates stock so oldest materials are used first. Notes and reports any damaged cartons, crates or containers. Records items added or removed from inventory.

 Stores product by using an industrial forklift and uses a hand held scan gun/RFGEN for lot tracking to maintain accurate inventory. Working from written or verbal instructions by operating a forklift to pick up, move, load and unload product on, or from trailers while meeting department, facility, company, and regulatory guidelines.

 Performs minor service of equipment and completes written daily safety inspections. Identifies and reports noted problems to supervisor for further inspection and repair.

 Responsible for changing fuel bottles, refueling forklift or troubleshooting repairs as needed.

 Maintains the work area, dock and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, adheres to storage design principles, and recommends improvement.

 Creates product labels for inventory purposes. Reads and understands lot numbers, expiration dates, ingredient lists, and production schedules. Completes various reports daily and enters required information into computer program efficiently and timely.

 Responsible for using basic tools such as wrenches, tape measures, scales, air and water hoses. Consolidates partial pallets as directed by productions supervisor.

 Operator must be able to maneuver forklift in tight spaces, while maintaining a safe work zone for other drivers and team members.

Meatroom Operator – Day Shift

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION 

 Safely grind meats for use in various formulas.

 ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 Check that grinders are assembled.

 Prepare meats on meat table in order thrown.

 Ensure that proper meats are batched for each formula and weight specification by selecting the proper meats for the formula and conveying them to the grinders.

 Push meats onto conveyors as indicated by each product formula.

 Inspect meat blocks for foreign material, spoilage, off odor, green meat and/or excess denaturing.

 Reverse plate and change knives.

 Wash down floor and equipment between batches.

 Shovel scrap meat from floor to scrap totes with drainage holes.

 Clean and stack empty pallets neatly for removal to the designated area.

 Run the fresh meats side of the meat room.

Line Unloader – Day Shift

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Verifies that the machine is setup properly. Reviews production schedule.

Brings full retort basket into the Unloader for unloading.

View finished product, checking for image, odor, color, chunks. Checks to see if it looks good and if it is sticking to the can. Pulls sample product for the lab and supervisors. Identify any hold tags and any change-overs.

Watches for product defects such as dented or leaking product; pull defected product out of the system at the unloader. Looks for product with no codes or illegible codes.

Communicates with the Retort Operator, Tray Packers and supervisors. Ensures baskets cycle to the loader.

Verify that all suction cups are in good operating condition.

Perform weekly sanitation.

Hours: 6pm-6:30am

Full time position in the Birth Center at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center. Primarily night position; this position is also required to work every third weekend and every third holiday. Care for the laboring patient in addition to postpartum couplets and surgical patients. Will be cross trained to assist in pediatrics during times of high census. Required to become Electronic Fetal Monitor certified within first year, in addition to ACLS and NRP; Mandatory Reporter and BLS also required.  

POSITION PURPOSE:
Provides and directs safe, effective, and culturally competent care for women, newborns, and pediatric patients. Utilizes evidence-based practice and critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care. Manages a diverse patient population across labor and delivery, postpartum, newborn nursery, pediatrics, and/or pediatric intensive care, with varying levels of acuity. Supervises and coordinates care provided by LPNs, Patient Care Technicians/Assistants, and other team members, while ensuring clear communication with physicians, families, and the interdisciplinary team. In patient care areas, may perform or demonstrate patient care tasks which may expose the clinical nurse to infectious or communicable disease, or possibility of injury from irrational or confused patients and visitors or from instruments or equipment.
