Lead Teacher

Position Summary:

The Children’s Center at UW Platteville invites applications for a Lead Teacher opening. The Lead Teacher works as part of a team to deliver a developmentally appropriate curriculum for children enrolled in their classroom as well as providing general supervision and management of the children enrolled.

The Lead Teacher will prepare classroom materials, facilitate classroom programs, and assess student progress to ensure safety and foster an environment of learning and development in accordance with established curriculum. The Lead Teacher interacts regularly with parents and trains new teachers and students.

This is a full-time, benefit and paid leave eligible position. Salary for this position is $43,800 per year.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans and facilitates classroom programming and schedules daily classroom activities for an early childhood education facility according to established curriculums.
  • Maintains the safety and physical well-being of children in a designated classroom.
  • Evaluates individualized and developmental educational plans for children in collaboration with other stakeholders, as needed.

Dyersville Die Cast is seeking skilled CNC Programmers / Machine Setup Technicians to join our CNC Department. This role is responsible for advanced CNC programming, machine setup, tooling and fixture management, and providing technical and leadership support to production teams. Job Description

We are hiring an Environmental Services Technician – Level II to support environmental compliance, waste management, and housekeeping operations in a CNC machining and die cast manufacturing environment. This role works independently on the production floor and plays a critical role in maintaining environmental, safety, and housekeeping standards across both CNC and die cast operations.

Responsibilities

· Manage waste streams from CNC machining and die cast operations, including aluminum and brass scrap, chips, dross, oils, coolants, lubricants, filters, and absorbents.

· Ensure proper segregation, labeling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

· Handle coolant waste, oily rags, absorbents, filters, and machining by-products in compliance with procedures.

· Maintain waste manifests, inspection logs, and environmental documentation.

· Conduct routine inspections of waste storage areas, coolant collection areas, secondary containment, and outdoor storage.

· Coordinate waste pickups with approved vendors.

· Lead initial spill response activities involving oils, coolants, or chemicals per training and procedures.

· Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in CNC cells, die cast cells, furnace areas, and support areas.

· Support recycling, waste reduction, and sustainability initiatives.

· Identify opportunities to improve environmental compliance and reduce waste disposal costs.

Qualifications

Required:

· High school diploma or GED.

· 1-2 years of manufacturing or industrial experience.

· Experience handling industrial waste, oils, coolants, or machining by-products.

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

· Strong safety mindset and attention to detail.

· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred:

· CNC machining and/or die cast manufacturing experience.

· Hazardous waste handling experience.

· Forklift certification or ability to obtain.

· Basic computer skills for recordkeeping and documentation.

Work Environment

CNC machining and die cast manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, dust, oils, coolants, and fumes. Required use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear. Overtime as needed.
