Express Employment is seeking qualified candidates for a Northwest Illinois company in need of an experienced Recruiter / Talent Acquisition Partner. This temporary role will cover a 12-week maternity leave, with potential for extension or permanent hire.

The recruiter will support high-volume hiring efforts, primarily for warehouse associates and truck drivers. Prior experience recruiting for these types of roles is required.

Position Details:

  • Pay: $25–$28/hour (based on experience)
  • Duration: 12-week maternity leave coverage with potential for hire
  • Location: Primarily remote; onsite during the first week for onboarding/training

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full-cycle recruiting for warehouse and driver positions

Maintenance Tech – Nights

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Repairs, replaces, corrects or affects equipment as needed to ensure equipment operates correctly and efficiently according to production requirements.

Consults with engineers and vendors as needed. Accomplishes layout work for each project as needed. Will be able to troubleshoot equipment.

Meets safety requirements in accomplishing responsibilities of this position complying with all policies or regulations set forth by Simmons or various government agencies concerning safety, environment, vehicle, handling of food products, packaging, ingredients and any related items.

Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in the ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinates work to ensure best practices with all team members.  Ensures product labels meet production schedule specifications. Manages label materials and verifies all product labeling is correct with customer orders.

 Loads labels into the machine. Records information from label boxes. Ensures label matches code on the can.

 Adjusts machine for label alignment and glue adhesion. Able to do changeovers. Able to maintain machines speeds. Records downtime.

Attends appropriate team meetings. Kitchen Operator – Nights

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 Follow the order of the schedule and call for batches from the meat room, as required.

 Weigh all ingredients and record weight before batching.

 Record lot numbers and supplier for each ingredient used.

 Kitchen operator is a final check for Q.C and supervisor- must notify Q.C and supervisor of anything unusual; i.e. batch too thick, too thin, off-color, off odor.

 Follow formula guidelines, which are listed, on each batch sheet.

 Record batching information for each batch made on formula kitchen sheets. These include gravy weight, water level, water temp, tri-blender R.P.M.’s final batch weight, fill temps and additives.

 Clean and sanitize entire kitchen during can size changeovers or when notified by Supervisor.

 Follow rinse procedures for cleaning the emulsifier and tanks 1, 2, & 3.

 Regulate the dropping temperature, as required. Follow batch sheet guidelines or Supervisor instructions.

Meatroom Operator – Days

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION Safely grind meats for use in various formulas. ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Check that grinders are assembled. Prepare meats on meat table in order thrown. Ensure that proper meats are batched for each formula and weight specification by selecting the proper meats for the formula and conveying them to the grinders. Push meats onto conveyors as indicated by each product formula. Inspect meat blocks for foreign material, spoilage, off odor, green meat and/or excess denaturing. Reverse plate and change knives. Wash down floor and equipment between batches. Shovel scrap meat from floor to scrap totes with drainage holes. Clean and stack empty pallets neatly for removal to the designated area. Run the fresh meats side of the meat room. Perform weekly sanitation. Participates as a member of the Team. Participates in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs, and policies; coordinates work to ensure B.E.S.T practices with all team members. Attends appropriate team meetings.
