Under direction of Activities Director, assists with planning, developing, coordinating and maintaining a program of activities designed to provide mental, physical and social stimulation that meets identified individual needs, interests, and capabilities of the residents. The housekeeping services staff is responsible for maintaining and assuring uncompromising levels of cleanliness in work areas, buildings and grounds. The housekeeping services staff is responsible for maintaining an attractive and comfortable home in an environment consistent with regulations and established policies and procedures.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
ΓÇó General cleaning, floor care, washing, sanitizing, polishing furniture/fixtures, waste removal, stocking supplies, cleaning windows, collecting laundry from resident rooms and designated areas, sorting, labeling, washing, drying and distributing linens, and resident personal clothing per assigned schedule, ironing articles as required, inspecting laundry and linen, informing supervisor of replacement needs for communication with residents/families, and other duties as assigned.
ΓÇó Ensure that housekeeping and laundry supplies are replenished in work areas.
ΓÇó Ensure that equipment, tools, and supplies are cleaned and properly stored at the end of each shift.
Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- One to two years of experience in a clinic or hospital setting is required
- Graduate of a Certified Medical Assistant program preferred
- Knowledge of basic office procedures, equipment, and computer systems preferred
- Familiarization with medical terminology and prior health care experience desired

We are seeking a full-time (40 hr/week) Referral Advocate to work Monday- Friday, 8:30 AM- 5:00 PM.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

- Performs prior authorization on all High-End Radiology, Referrals, and surgeries indicated by a physician order.
- Assists Patient Financial Services department to ensure prior authorization requirements are met for upcoming procedures as appropriate.
- Consistent and accurate documentation in Epic regarding the process of the authorization as well as final documentation upon approval process.
- Assumes primary responsibility for providing patient teaching / instruction for their follow-up appointments and diagnostic studies, etc.
- Complete and maintain work queues that pertain to referrals.
- Adheres to Southwest Health’s value-based behavior standards.
- Understands and adheres to Southwest Health compliance and HIPAA standards as they appear in the Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Job Summary
The Referral Advocate assists with various patient-related duties, including prior authorizations for surgeries and radiology, processing referrals, and communicating with insurance companies (by phone or website) and/or patients regarding those authorizations. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Clinic Operations.
