Agronomy Business Development Manager

Innovative Ag Services Co. is hiring an Agronomy Business Development Manager for their Southeast Territory.  This individual will oversee the sales force at the following locations: Andrew, Cascade, Central City, Farley and Monticello, Iowa.

Primary Objective: Responsible for the development, coaching, accountability, and performance of all salespeople in the assigned market. Recruits and directs a sales team and provides leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth consistent with the company vision and mission. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the team’s professional development, training, and educational needs. This position will ensure effective communication and teamwork with the operations team to maximize company efficiency and enhance the grower experience.

Operations/Service Support – Farley, IA

Primary Objective: To provide customer service and location operation functions at the location level for the benefit of IAS and its member owners.

  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, orientation, and supervising location employees.
  • Lead efficient plant and personnel supervision in the absence of the Location Manager.

Manage the operation of the grain facilities and maintain grain quality control within tolerances, along with outbound grade blending targets and shrink goals.
  • Assist with agronomy logistics, operations, and counter sales for the location.
  • Safekeeping of the location’s physical product inventory and accurate accounting thereof.
  • Complete internal reports and paperwork on a timely basis to drive understanding and further improvement in the location’s performance.
  • Coordinate and assist in maintenance on on-location facilities, equipment, and vehicles.

Primary Objective:  To perform feed mill operations duties and increase efficiency of operations at the IAS feed mill.

  • Standard hours 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM.  In season (Spring and Fall): 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

  • Assist in the implementation of feed mill processes and quality control measures.
