Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Machine Operator – Production Saw to operate industrial saw equipment for cutting materials to specified dimensions. The ideal candidate will ensure quality, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards while supporting daily production goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, operate, and monitor production saws according to work orders and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and inspect materials to ensure accuracy and quality standards are met
  • Read and interpret blueprints, cut lists, and production instructions
  • Perform routine machine adjustments and basic troubleshooting
  • Conduct daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, and lockout/tagout procedures
  • Accurately record production data and material usage
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
Qualifications

How can you make an impact?

This Senior Digital Editor will be responsible for the acquisition, development, and optimization of digital content sets for the AccessEngineering institutional subscription product, as well as for signing and maintaining a small number of engineering print titles. This position will engage with relevant technical communities to understand their educational needs and align those with content gaps on AccessEngineering that must be filled.

 

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

 

What you will be doing:

  • Acquire and develop 8-10 digital content sets (video, audio, spreadsheets, problem walkthroughs, cases, etc.) for AccessEngineering annually, focused upon key content gaps in the product.
  • Work with SMEs and internal resources to optimize digital content sets for online user experience
  • Acquire 5-7 print titles, first editions and revisions, annually.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the AccessEngineering product, so as to acquire and develop appropriate digital content for it.
  • Articulate the programs, projects, content, and strategy through excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Network within relevant technical communities by attending conferences and through campus visits in order to; 1) strengthen overall market and competitive knowledge; 2) build relationships with key subject matter experts; and 3) translate this knowledge into business plans for program growth.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and bring 5+ years of digital content development and acquisitions experience in engineering, science, or other technical content markets to support high-quality content creation and platform growth.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of technical subject matter experts, identifying and collaborating with them to acquire, refine, and position high-value digital content.
  • Work effectively with technical faculty and professional associations, leveraging their expertise to inform content needs, validate direction, and ensure market relevance.
  • Apply strong communication and project-management skills to coordinate stakeholders, manage timelines, oversee content development, and guide projects through to completion.
  • Conduct research and analysis within assigned engineering topic areas to determine which content to develop, ensuring alignment with user needs and platform priorities.

Simo Kitchen – Night Shift

ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 Follow the order of the schedule and call for batches from the meat room, as required.

 Weigh all ingredients and record weight before batching.

 Record lot numbers and supplier for each ingredient used.

 Kitchen operator is a final check for Q.C and supervisor- must notify Q.C and supervisor of anything unusual; i.e. batch too thick, too thin, off-color, off odor.

 Follow formula guidelines, which are listed, on each batch sheet.

 Record batching information for each batch made on formula kitchen sheets. These include gravy weight, water level, water temp, tri-blender R.P.M.’s final batch weight, fill temps and additives.

 Clean and sanitize entire kitchen during can size changeovers or when notified by Supervisor.

 Follow rinse procedures for cleaning the emulsifier and tanks 1, 2, & 3.

 Regulate the dropping temperature, as required. Follow batch sheet guidelines or Supervisor instructions.

 Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives: Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems – including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

 Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives: This position description is intended to guide the activities of the Shipper/Receiver and is not intended to limit the thinking and creativity of the person to the work of this function nor is it intended that this describes all the work that may be required of the person in this position.

 Physical Activities: Must be able to climb on and off of the forklift; must be able to back fork-lift up safely which requires turning neck and body in the opposite direction. Must be able to lift and stack up to 75 lbs from floor to crown, will be required to work in extreme temperatures both hot and cold, wet, dry, dusty environment. Must be able to sit and walk for long periods of time, lift up to 75 pounds multiple times daily, work in temperature extremes.

 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety Glasses, Rubber Gloves, Rubber boots, Rubber Apron, Hearing Protection, and any other PPE as required in the appropriate area.

 Technical Experience: Knowledge of Julian calendar, FIFO practices, preferred experience in shipping and receiving, working with large moving equipment. Basic computer literacy. Knowledge of military time, RFGEN and JDE.

 Industry Experience: Shipping and receiving knowledge preferred.

 Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Perform basic math. Must be able to obtain and maintain company issued forklift license. Must be able to read, write and understand English
