Tri-State Occupational Health is hiring a full-time Clinical Assistant to support the department in receptionist, care coordinator administrative duties, lab assistant (drug and alcohol testing with on call responsibilities), and some specific clinical work such as respirator fit testing and assisting onsite with heights and weights and checking patients in for testing (which may include some travel).

PAINT PREP 1ST SHIFT

The person in this position reports to the Weld Manager and is responsible for cleaning and/or painting manufactured parts, loading and/or unloading the carousel as necessary, and other tasks as assigned. This is a safety sensitive position because the individual will be working with small or larger steel parts that could be very heavy.  Will be using power and hand tools, grinders, sanders, forklifts, pallet jacks, Big Joe pallet jack, spray paint guns, chemicals including clean and etch to clean fabricated trusses, banders, hoists and carousels.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Move material from storage locations to/from cleaning or painting stations for cleaning or other production operations. 
  • Clean items according to specific part requirements.  This includes removal of oil, grease welding impurities, slag, etc. to allow paint to adhere sufficiently.  Move completed items from the carousel line or paint booth to storage locations, as necessary.
  • Paint items according to specific part requirements.  Move items to/from the paint location, then touchup if necessary.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Responsibilities

 

The Youth Care Worker for our Supervised Apartment Living (SAL) Program is responsible for providing compassionate and effective care and support to adolescents within the residential facilities. This role involves direct supervision, behavior management and crisis intervention. The Youth Care Worker collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to create a safe, supportive environment for the adolescents. In addition, you will be:

  •  Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including cooking, cleaning, showering, toileting, shopping, and managing money.
  • Monitor clients’ health and report any changes in physical or mental condition to supervisors or healthcare providers.
  • Assist with medical appointments such as transportation and coordinating with healthcare providers.
  • Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals. Recognize and respond to signs of distress or crisis situations.
  • De-escalate challenging behaviors using positive and approved techniques to ensure safety for all clients and staff.
  • Facilitate community integration and participation in social and recreational activities.
  • Ensure that care plans are followed and updated as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, progress and any relevant observations and document these items in the client’s electronic health record (EHR).
  • Complete incident reports with 24 hours of the occurrence and share the report with social workers to ensure accuracy of report.
  • Participate in team meetings and assigned trainings.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

 

Education:

  • High School Diploma or HSED equivalent required.

Experience:

  • Prior experience working with individuals who have chronic mental health issues is preferred. 
  • Prior experience with health care documentation is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – including written and verbal.
  • Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting individuals to achieve independence.
  • Ability to remain calm and patient in stressful situations

Licenses/Certifications:

The Chair of the Department of Clinical Medicine provides academic and administrative leadership for the clinical faculty and the delivery of the clinical skills curriculum throughout the four years of the Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine program. The Chair ensures that instruction in clinical reasoning, physical diagnosis, communication, and patient care is well integrated with biomedical and osteopathic principles and aligned with accreditation and competency standards. The position reports to the Associate Dean of Clinical Education and Graduate Medical Education and collaborates closely with the Associate Dean of Preclinical Education, the Director of Simulation and Clinical Skills, and course and clerkship directors.

  • Substantial teaching experience in medical education, preferably in clinical skills or clerkship coordination
  • Strong communication, organizational, and mentoring skills
  • Knowledge of COMLEX-USA competencies, COCA accreditation standards, and competency-based medical education
  • Experience overseeing clinical faculty or directing clinical skills programs in an osteopathic or allopathic medical school
  • Familiarity with simulation-based instruction and interprofessional education

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (D.O. or M.D.) with board certification in a clinical specialty
  • Demonstrate leadership and administrative experience in academic or clinical settings
  • Record of scholarly productivity or innovation in medical education

Successful candidates must possess the following:

Ability to pass an ASME Code, 2G MIG weld test

Proficient math, blueprint & tape measure reading skills

Effective communicator in a team environment

A high level of integrity while being reliable and self-motivated

Safe material handling and overhead crane operation

Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

Ability to operate multiple tools, including heavy fabrication equipment

Ability to climb ladders, wear a respirator and fit through manways as required

Fabricate/Assemble components by studying blueprints, work instructions and other specifications

Willingness to fill in wherever necessary

Pre-employment drug screen and physical required
