Surgical Tech

Requirements

  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required with additional technical training in area of specialty.
  • Completion of Operating Room Technician training from an accredited institution and/or equivalent education and experience required.
  • Knowledge of and experience with aseptic and sterile techniques required.
  • Certification in Surgical Technology preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper decontamination and sterilization of surgical supplies required.
  • Knowledge of hospital inventory and stocking procedures helpful.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support required.

Work Hours

We are seeking a full-time (36 hours/week) Surgical Tech to work Monday-Friday between 7:30am-4:00pm (with flexibility) five days per week. This position includes an on-call rotation of 1 in 7.

Job Summary

The Surgical Tech plans for and responds to the material needs of the surgical caseload using aseptic and sterile techniques and proper decontamination.

Maintenance Technician (Electrician)

Summary: Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes and electrical systems. Repairs and maintains mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment such as metal fabricating machine tools, material handling systems and automated lubrication systems. Electrical work will be performed under the supervision of an electrician. Background or education in equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment involving CNC machinery a must. An appropriate electrical license is a plus.

Patient Scheduling Specialist- UW Regional Specialty Clinic

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Six months to one year experience with customer relations required.
  • Knowledge of basic office procedures/equipment and computer systems required.
  • Familiarization with medical terminology and prior health care experience preferred.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.

Work Hours

We are seeking two full-time (40 hours/week) Patient Scheduling Specialists to work Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm within the UW Regional Specialty Clinic.

Job Summary

The primary responsibilities of the Patient Scheduling Specialist are to arrange for efficient and orderly check in, check out and scheduling of patients across multiple specialties.  A patient scheduling specialist (PSS) ensures that accurate patient information is collected and that patients are aware of hospital policies and procedures. These duties will be performed in a “Customer oriented” professional manner.

RN Infusion Cancer Care

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing, bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Two years’ relevant oncology clinical experience preferred.
  • Must fulfill licensure requirements of the State of Wisconsin for a RN and be legally eligible to practice in the state of Wisconsin.
  • Chemotherapy Administration Course required.
  • Previous experience with chemotherapy administration required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act and RN Scope of Practice.
  •  Experience with process improvement.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Work Hours

We are seeking a full-time (36 hours/week) RN to work four days per week from 7:30am-5:00pm.

Job Summary

The Infusion nurse is responsible for administering nursing care to patients in a safe, efficient, compassionate, and courteous manner using proper nursing procedures. The infusion nurse performs chemotherapy and infusion administration, physician assistance, information gathering, sample collection, patient education, patient follow-up, supply maintenance, and consultation.

The nurse must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his or her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age-specific needs, and to provide the care needed as described in the unit’s/area’s/department’s policies and procedures.

Job Functions:

Performs any combination of following tasks to receive, store and distribute material, equipment and products within establishments:

  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving, warehouse, and production areas to storage, staging or other designated areas by hand, hand truck, electric hoist or forklift.
  • Sorts and places selected materials in racks, bins, containers, or on shelves in predetermined sequence, such as size, type, color, or product code.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and production and places orders on pallets, in racks, or containers.
  • Packages materials together in a predetermined sequence using manual or automated banding equipment and manual or automated shrink wrapping equipment.
  • Marks materials with identifying information using stencil, marking pen, bar codes, or other marking device.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers, using hand tools. Records amount of items received or distributed.
  • Uses computer, bar coding devices and scanning devices to enter records.
  • May compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Uses forklift to load individual items, containers, bins, and racks onto trucks for shipment to customers according to order sheets, work orders or individual supervisory instruction.
  • May maintain some inventory records.

Physical demands for this job require standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, and stooping. Strength rating for this job is M-Medium work- exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for light work.
