Marketing & Graphic Design Part Time Student

Description

Medical Associates is seeking a motivated Marketing/Graphic Design student who is ready to apply educational knowledge and business practices in a real-world environment.
This student will have the opportunity to create content and work closely with our marketing team! This position will be a valuable experience for any student pursuing a career in the marketing or graphic design industry. Experience with Adobe and other marketing software is preferred. 
Schedule
This position will be part time with hours depending on the students school schedule. After the spring semester, there will be the opportunity to work full time during the summer.
Responsibilities
  • Job shadow and train with marketing and support staff
  • Assist in designing, composing and coordinating the publishing of advertisements, newsletters, signage, media releases and other marketing initiatives
  • Assist in coordinating printing and disseminating of marketing materials
  • Assist in print, social media, and various outlets
  • Assess and validate the effectiveness of our marketing by gathering and analyzing feedback on customer interactions
  • May perform additional projects upon request

Physical Aspects:

Light Work – Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for Light Work.

Environmental Conditions: None – The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).

Service Technician

Dubuque Fire Equipment is a provider of quality fire protection products and services and is currently seeking a motivated individual to be a part of our team. The Service Technician services and maintains Portable Fire Extinguishers, Emergency / Exit Lights, and Fire Suppression Systems for current and new customers. Selling services to new customers is also expected within the designated territory. Operation of a company vehicle and independent scheduling is required. Responsible for maintaining a professional, productive, and safe work environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist customers in fulfilling service needs.
  • Perform site surveys to educate customers of required related fire protection equipment.
  • Understand product capabilities, warranties, product usages and challenges, to further educate and serve external customers.
  • Responsible for notifying direct supervisor of any equipment break down or malfunction or any unsafe working conditions.
  • Responsible for complying and enforcing safety requirements while on company property and at customersΓÇÖ site.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and as necessary depending on the situation and location.
  • Must be able to lift or carry heavy objects.
  • Understand and implement the concepts and principles of NFPA 10, 12, 12A, 17, 17A and 96.
  • Complete inspection worksheets and any other appropriate paperwork for customer, local AHJ’ and customer’ insurance company.

  • Typical workday ranges between 4:00 AM — 6:00 PM (Depending on customersΓÇÖ availability)

Fire Extinguishers:

  • Perform inspections and routine maintenance on extinguishers and emergency lights.
  • Clean extinguishers and recharge them with approved materials
  • Inspect, repair, and test fire extinguishers using hand tools, hydrostatic test equipment
  • Dismantle extinguishers and examine mechanical parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling means; replaces worn or damaged parts
  • Checking each extinguisher in location to ensure it is up to code
  • Verify that proper fire extinguishers and fire extinguisher placement is in place
  • Hydro-test low pressure cylinders
  • Assist in fire safety inspections
  • Perform fire demos- training on the proper use of fire extinguishers
  • Servicing of customers Emergency and Exit lights to including required maintenance or repair
  • Sales

Fire Suppression Systems

  • Perform semi-annual inspections on suppression systems (kitchen, paint booth, etc.)
  • Inspecting and repairing pre-engineered restaurant fire suppression systems
  • Performing on-site emergency troubleshooting of fire suppression systems.
  • Identify any systems NOT compliant with the latest NFPA standards, including UL300.

Assistant Professor of Biology, Health Sciences

Position Summary:

The Department of Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Biology in health sciences. This is a full-time, 9-month, position beginning in August of 2026.

The ideal candidate will have a background in anatomy or physiology, with laboratory experience, and the ability to teach courses such as Human Anatomy & Physiology, Human Gross Anatomy, or other advanced biology courses. Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Engagement in evidence-informed pedagogy to teach undergraduate students in classroom and laboratory settings.

  • Ability to teach undergraduate courses in Biology including Anatomy & Physiology.
  • A minimum of two semesters teaching undergraduates, completed during or following graduate studies
  • A strong commitment to undergraduate education and a willingness to collaborate with both students and faculty.

With around 310 students, the Biology major is the third largest on-campus major.

You’ll assess whether uninsured patients are eligible for other insurance options such as Medicaid, CHIP, or other available state and federal programs.

The successful candidate must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, sociology, communications, business or a science discipline. If you have 4 years’ experience in a related field or a combination of education and experience, we will consider that as well.

We’d prefer you to have some experience in working with vulnerable or high-risk individuals. Other preferences include those who have prior experience with understanding government regulations and presenting to individuals or groups. And, since we use Electronic Medical Records, if you have experience in that, you’d be ahead of your competitors.
