Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of diesel repair & diagnose
  • Understanding of the driveline, components & repair
  • Certified in a/c repair
  • Diagnose & repair air brake systems
  • Diagnose & repair electrical systems
  • Perform Annual Inspections on semi tractors & trailers
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tractors & trailers

Requirements:

  • Be able to obtain a Class A CDL (will train)
  • MUST have experience with heavy duty equipment
  • Able to work 2nd or 3rd shift
  • Must be able to read and write English

Semi route delivery driver- home every night – Cedar Rapids

Prairie Farms in Cedar Rapids, IA seeking semi drivers.

Applicant must be able to read and write English.  Applicant must possess a Class A CDL and clean driving record.  Must be able to sit for long periods of time and lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.   Hours are defined and follow a consistent schedule that may include weekend and/or holidays.

The successful candidate will conduct a pre-trip inspection of truck/trailer combination.    Deliveries may include boxes, cases or 80 gallon carts.  Dock or hoist deliveries will depend on the route.   All paperwork must be completed and returned at the end of the route.

Plant Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities include maintaining and troubleshooting packaging equipment in conformance to specifications, safety, sanitation, and quality requirements.

Requirements for the position include:

  • Plant maintenance experience or equivalent technical training.
  • Strong electrical experience along with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • PLC experience is a plus.
  • Must have math and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Library Clerk

Description

This part-time Library Clerk I position, primarily providing patron assistance, circulation services is based at the Holy Cross Branch. This position is approximately 22 hours per week, requiring regular evening and alternating weekend shifts.

 

Job Duties

  • Provide general library services at circulation desks using library management system and knowledge of the collection, including but not limited to:
    • material check in and check out
    • shelving materials and maintaining appropriate organization, presentation, and distribution of collection at assigned branch
    • patron registration
    • placing holds and purchase requests
    • advising patrons in locating materials
  • Perform basic reference and readers’ advisory service.
  • Assist patrons with computer, photocopier, and fax.
  • Collect fines and fees.
  • Answer incoming calls, route to appropriate staff.
  • Rotate collection materials through the branches to meet patron demand.
  • Deliver library materials to the branches.
  • Process new library materials.
  • Purchase supplies.
  • Light cleaning (e.g. dusting, disc cleaning).
  • Perform related tasks as required.

 

Minimum Qualifications

– High school diploma or equivalent and experience in a library or similar setting.
– Bachelor’s degree and library experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains knowledge of the menu and any special items being offered.
  • Provides quick, attentive, friendly and professional service to banquet guests and is able to communicate clearly with all customers.
  • Ensures that food items are served at proper temperature and immediately upon availability from the kitchen, as ordered by the customer.
  • Ensures neat presentation of all ordered items, with no spill-over.
  • Pre-buses tables and full buses tables when necessary during peak periods.

Custodian Staff | Part-Time | Grand River Conference Center

Position Summary

The part-time Custodial Staff is responsible for ensuring facility meets or exceeds standards of cleanliness to the utmost in guest satisfaction before, during, and after all events. Custodial staff must possess the knowledge, skills and abilities as well as be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
